goh soon huat is looking good is upsetting park sung hwan. hope he does not crumble in crucial moment.
The Singapore MS contingent performance: * Robin Gonansa got a first game thrashing from Lee Chong Wei but played better in the second 7-21, 16-21. Hope he has picked up some pointers from Datuk Lee. * Alas, Ashton Chen fought hard against I believe France's No.1, Brice Leverdez but still lost in just over an hour, 17-21, 21-12, 16-21. I guess experience tells in this match. * Derek Wong, son of Singapore's former MS and SEA Games Champion Wong Shoon Keat, made a better impression and defeated MAS veteran Yeoh Kay Bin 21-11, 21-18. * Now recently promoted national player Huang Chao is leading USA Bjorn Seguin by taking the first game 21-16, scoring heavily from his smashes. However Bjorn is leading at the interval 11-9 in the second game. Now HC has recovered to lead 18-13, again scoring points with his favourite smash weapon, then extended his score to win with the same scoreline as the first, 21-16. So the final score: 2 wins and 2 losses. Congrats to Derek and HC advancing to the next round.
Well, young Zulfadli is leading the more experienced Daren Liew 21-10 (!) and now 7-5. Will ZZ become Zero and strip Daren apart with his sword?
Yes it seems Daren made 10 errors against 4 by ZZ in the first game. And ZZ seems to have a better smash! Daren has to buck up quickly!
