The main reason is the MAS coach teach their players new technique : hit the opponent balls don't hit the sideline !
Indeed, that's Malaysia's problem. At least CHN now has Chen Long waiting in the wings and another potential future star, Wang Zengming. For INA, it could be Tommy Sugiarto. For Denmark, Viktor Axelsen, now only 17-yrs-old. For JPN, Takuma Ueda, Xia XZ's pick. Among the WSs, promising are Tai TY and Ithanon Ratchanok who have taken a few big scalps; the rest, Nozomi Okuhara, Fu Mingtian, Ayane Kuirhara, Hsiao Ma Pai, Mitani Minatsu, etc, show some signs but have yet to score any significant victory over the top 10. For CHN WS, they are Liu Xin and Li Xuerui who have proven themselves capable of threatening the more established women players, and are in the same league as TTY and IR. Personally, I like Li Xuerui for her attacking style, and she has beaten the likes of Saina Nehwal,Juliane Schenk,Tine Baun - I remember her title victories in last year's Asia Championship beating Saina and this year's Thai Open beating JiangYJ.
Fransiska clawing her way to 21. Hana really giving her all she can handle. Fransiska at match point 20-15, and she makes it. 21-15
If Taufik is the Grand Daddy of Badminton, what about Peter Gade, Great Grand Father? And Peter is playing like an older brother, still!
havent watched TH game since Canada open ... what do you guys see taufik is missing (or gaining?) physically?
IF only Taufik's baby girl (or is it boy?) can talk : Daddy, make sure you win more often so that I can have my milk powder, fave toys,go to kindergarten, visit the zoo, go Disneyland when I'm older, sit on the merry-go-round, ride rollercoaster, eat my favourite ice-cream... Then, maybe, just maybe, we have Taufik The Comeback Kid!
