Let's follow Hsueh Hsuan Yi (TPE) at the 2011 Denmark Open SSP

    .
In the Mens Singles, we find Hsueh Hsuan Yi (TPE) who has just won the MS title at the Dutch Open GP on Sunday 16-October.

He will be facing Kestutis Navickas of Lithuania.

Can Hsueh Hsuan Yi perform well at this tournament too?

Plenty of good names in the qualifying round. eg. Yan Kit Chan, Dicky Palyama.

However it would be nice to see an underdog do well. Scott Evans, like Kevin Cordon, impressed me with his 2008 Olympic performance. Perhaps he'll have the "luck of the Irish" against the formidable Joachim Perrson and Rajiv Ouseph.
Go gcuire Dia an t-ádh ort, Scott! :)

Under Draws, both Dicky and CYK have WDN next to their names, which I can only assume means Withdrawn

    Good Luck of the Irish

    .
The "Luck of the Irish"? :D:D:D I like it. I like Irish players. :):):)

However, I think that in this SSP tournament, skill is a BIGGER factor.

As participants are all trying their best to gain valuable Olympic Games Qualification Points for 2012, I think Irish players could be struggling.

Anyway, let's hope that our best players will do well, regardless of Irish or not. :D:D:D

The first match on Court No.4 should be interesting.

It is the Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk [1] (THA)-vs-Daren Liew (MAS) match.

OK, this is LDR's first match after his injury in IO GP recently....it depends on the condition of the injury....If fully recovered, I think LDR stand a good chance against TS because this is the first match of the tournament and stamina shd not a problems for LDR, he usually lost after playing 2 or 3 matches due to poor stamina level.

Fully packed & competitive tournament as all 5 disciplines started from qualifying round including WD which usually quite lack of participants :D

If I remember correctly, Tanongsak was the one who stretched Lee CW quite a bit in their world championship encounter. Maybe he could perform here.

It's going to be a very close game I think. It will be an over-60-minutes match.

Can PHM come back from here?
