    Daren just came back from SEA games right? Hendarawan felt he's not ready / exhausted perhaps?

    As predicted, Afiat/Rendy lost to KOR Kim/Shin, straight-sets 13-21 / 10-21, really stiff competition here, hard to secure main draw ticket.

    How come so long? It does not suggest so from the score, unless every point end with long rallies....

    Imagine a qualifier after playing two matches the same day,one in the morning and another at night, to qualify and in less than 8 hours the next day join the main draw to play in round 1 and,horrors,meet Lin Dan,Lee CW, or Chen Long! This is the norm in every SS tournament, that's why these players have to be supreme athletes, and that's also why ,I believe, all the top players are not too bothered whether their opponents enjoyed a rest day or not - just avoid injury and be in good form,hopefully.

    It's a dilemma. But the system is in place to enter the lower ranking tournaments, and get enough points to overcome having to play in the qualifiers.

    I'm pretty sad that Kashyap Parupalli has to meet Kenichi Tago tomorrow. They are two of
    my favorite players..... and I'm dying to see them at least in quarterfinal.

    PS. This is my first post here in BC, so helloooooooooo everyone!:D

    Read that Viktor Axelsen was yellow-carded. Did any BCers know what happened?

    At our BC PAW Game, we see many BCers are hoping for some upsets, and for these lower ranked players to win in Round 1, namely;

    * Yao Xue (Q) to defeat Gu Juan
    * Han Li (Q) to defeat Nicole Grether (PFQ)
    * Lu Yi (Q) to defeat Taufik Hidayat [8]
    * Qiao Bin (Q) to defeat Du Pengyu
    .
