    Yup, with only 3 places max from any one country, I don't believe any of the four would be willing to give way. Besides, as far as LYB is concerned, as long as any of the 3 wins the OG, it doesn't matter at this stage which of the 3 qualifies; anyway, still a bit too early to decide which of the 3 he sets his mind on, anything can happen from now till London 2012.

    Match fixing in badminton started way early, even in the heydays of Master Tang when he was asked to lose to a host country to give them face.

    But after the lost, china authorities told Master Tang that next time he is asked to lose, he must do it in a way that looks 'believable' because the spectators had an inkling that something was amiss.

    So now you have false tears and false injury. Probably take acting classes too.

    They may have been given free tickets to fill up the stadium.

    I'd like to buy a ticket to watch them play even I know it's just a show.

    Even LD lost purposely to CJ, many of the points must be real. He may just do not give his 100% for all points like he played LCW.

    There may have genuine badminton fans in the stadium but there were times in tournaments where there was no crowds and the organizers allow free entry so that the stadium does not look empty. If I remember correctly, the recent Asian Games organizers did say they will give out free tickets to fill up the stadiums in some events.

    GC apparently has forgot the harsh commentary they made on Sun Jun in the 1997 WC final

    In every sport, especially those that have people betting(and literally all sports have bets although some may not be legal), I guess match fixing are always around.

    Football/soccer is still popular. I don't watch and hardly follow soccer not because there are too many match fixing and other controversies but I just don't like to watch it.

    Of course, I don't like badminton to be fixed and I believe the chinese team often fix matches(and some other teams as well).

    But even if there is no country association, there might always be some match fixing around. Nobody knows, maybe some seniors want to help juniors in order to get better ranking and next time, they may get the benefit. Maybe in futures some professional who train together might also fix matches.

    Some fans turn into skeptic everytime they see injuries especially the matches involving same countries and that is quite sad.

    'Team order' would make Badminton players looking like puppets on strings

    .
    I hope not. :eek::eek::eek:

    'Team order' would make Badminton players looking like puppets on strings; being manipulated by others (such as by National Associations/Managements/Coaches/etc...).

    All Badminton players should be playing their very best every time; or people would think that Badminton is not a 'true' and/or a 'good' sport to follow/watch. :(:(:(
