. By the way, this Saturday & Sunday I shall miss opening the threads (Semi-Finals & Finals) for this tournament. I shall be away with my Badminton teams (in their matches & in their coaching). I hope that some BCers could open the threads for these last 2 days; so that I can return to read what's happening in the final 2 stages/days for this tournament (after the weekend). Thanks. .
Andre Kurniawan Tedjono's journey continues today and he will face Marc Zweibler [2]. At least, he has 3,850 pts in the bag, almost equivalent to winning another IC event.
. I believe that Andre Kurniawan Tedjono can win the MS event in this tournament. Sending to him "Good Luck" here. .
I think that Zwiebler is the favorite in their match. They both play in the German League and Zwiebler's results are better than Andre's (see http://www.alleturniere.de/sport/teammatch.aspx?id=04732D86-3C12-46F8-B216-2627BA984A86&match=52 for their match last sunday).
Li Xuerui's likely next round opponent(I'm jumping ahead of myself),Juliane Schenk,is dangerous and will be a big test. Surprising, their last and only meeting was won by LXR, 22-20 and 22-20 in the 2nd round of the Denmark SS 2010(last year when she was 19 yrs old)!
(A 19 year old CHinese girl will probably have at least as many training hours as an average 25 year old from Europe) Swedish girls look set to take it, kinda expected and what I originally PAWed . Which means the English girls are beating themselves and being inconsistent as usual . At least everyone else also picked them ... Let's "hope" for a late turnaround ...
. I looked at the link and tried to translate it (using Google). In the end, I still couldn't find anything saying that Zwiebler is playing better than Andre. .
Hmph, you'd think the Brits would be too fast & furious for the oldies ... beatdown by the seniors: 21-18, 21-16 ...
On the other hand we can see Zwiebler got beaten by Yuhan Tan a month ago . But I have little doubt Zwiebler will win as well ... AK is not at the same level as in the past eventhough he is still young.
You can translate the web pages from tournamentsoftware/alleturnier in the upper left corner... They didn't play against each other, it's just that Zwiebler is playing first singles and Andre second singles. And Andre needed some third sets against players who are not among the top players in Germany and even losing to Yoga Pratama.
Well Zwiebler's ranking is higher so of course he has to play first singles . I just think AK is not in optimal condition fitness wise that's why is stuck playing so many 3 sets
Your remark in brackets meant as an explanation, compliment or excuse - just curious? I thought a professional European player should train just as hard.
. Good night folks. It's 12:30am in Melbourne and I have to wake up at 5:00am tomorrow morning for a coaching assignment. .
