NOOOOOO.... that's not true. Taufik Hidayat will always be regarded as the most naturally gifted MS player in badminton history. Lin Dan does not possess these skills. Ever since Taufik got married in 2006, he has never regained his best form that saw him beat LIN DAN with ease in the past with scores like 15-3 15-7 , 15-0 ,15-5 etc. etc. etc. Watch the World Championships 2005 finals video and you'll find that Taufik Hidayat's current playing condition is not even close to where he was in 2005. I know a thing or 2 about marriages and one thing is that it never helps you produce your best performance because of your commitment to your family. A 100 % Taufik would dispose of a 100 % Lin Dan with no problem.

There is still hope though, just look at peter gade, LOL. Still going very strong despite closing in on 35 years old.

Lin Dan just plays less tournaments compared to TH , that's why he can save up so much energy to beat TH if they fortunately meet each other in SS tournaments. TH can't afford to do this because his teammates are no where near as good as LD's teammates are. So he has to carry the burden of playing in too many tournaments, thus over-exhausting himself in the process.

    Agree. :):):)

TH has always been wishing that SS and SDK would come in to lessen the difficulties that LD's teammates have caused at the All England tournament.

Unfortunately, TH's teammates just couldn't do much, like what LD's teammates have done.

    Yup
Taufik will always be hailed as the greatest in MS to my mind, (not sure if he beats Rudy Hartono, but he is definitely up there among the greatest)

Truth is, LD actually fears playing TH more than his pace or preparation on court. If you ask me, LD prefers playing LCW more than TH, because psychologically LD holds the edge over LCW, but not over TH. That is why LCW will always play second fiddle to LD no matter how good his game is or how on-form LCW is.

It's different with TH, LD always has some confidence lacking when he is up against TH and intimidated by TH's mere presence, whether TH is playing good or bad. So if TH is in his best frame of mind, even an on-form LD can't beat him.

Yes, Th can sometimes beat Lin Dan. And also sometimes beat Yamada, when Yamada is not in shape...

Saw Uncle Wong in his Asic shoes and Dunlop racquet giving Lin Dan a little work out yesterday. WCH not bad at all, just not quick enough to return to net from the baseline. 21-14, 21-17 is not bad at all. Even the Chinese clapped for some of his shots.

And right after his match on Court 2, Uncle Wong put on his track bottom and sit in as coach for Gan Teik Chai/Tan Bin Shen on Court 4.

You can have a wedding all year 'round yet stupidity kicked in and they had to have it right then? Unless the 9 month deadline was a factor

A popular time for weddings in South-east Asia is March

    .
There can be many factors. :):):)

One is that the All England is held in March (which is a popular time for weddings in South-east Asia).

Taufik is only half of a couple. He proabably doesn't have all say as to when the timing should be [IMG].

:D:D:D The timing is when the sun crosses the equator (twice, where Indonesia is located).
