technically and phyiscally wyh isn't bad but maybe she is like zhang ning, a late bloomer. ZN was not mentally strong in her early days either.

I was quite impressed with Bae Sung Hee. Tactics were very good. Her style of play is not the "breakdown opponent with stylish technique". She's more like the "harass and get everything back" energetic style and then go for the shot that wins the rally (not necessarily a smash). Very demoralising for her opponent.
BSH is only ranked 20's in the world? She played out of the world. The gap in the world rankings is so large.

I will not blame LYB' being so confident in final as performance of Korea was not impressive in qtr final against Rusia ( Kor could lose at that time) also INA beat KOR as well in THailand with same line up and KOR beat INA 3-2 with same line up again...

Chinese medias and reporters were so sure that China Uber cup will win...

my only criticism is that China Badminton should be more open to non chinese media...so far only chinese reporters and media can have access to china badminton..thats why non chinese media view China badminton arrogant which I know for sure their players are not at all...

seriously who would bet KOR could win over CHN yesterday? mostly non chinese media agreed that CHN girls would lift the cup again...

hmmm.. now we know that having world ranking no.1 player guarantee nothing. xD
Men singles and doubles No.1 Chong Wei & Koo/Tan fail in semis
Women singles and doubles No.1 Yi Han & Ma/Wang fail too in finals
    Interesting~~~

I think most of you dont really understand the extent of LYB's arrogance. 2-1 down and he fields the injured Du Jing and Yu Yang, who was limping like a lame duck.Imagine if China had won, LYB could claim that he won even using an injured player. (wink wink)

I agreed. So many people were talking WYH choked in UC final. I don't think WYH played bad, just BSH really outplayed WYH. Her shots are like Tine R's, placing them in all 4 corners making WYH run most of the time, and her defense is even better than Tine R. I expect to see her a favorite in the WC and rest of tournment this year.

While watching the videos on youtube, did anyone notice, so many times the cameramen switched to the girl spectators while the rally is still going on, and ended up missing so many great shots. Very annoying.

I think Du is just back from injury and far from full fitness. Yu faked an injury to stall the match :p. The lame referee allowed treatment when there should only have been a quick checkup (according to the commentary those are the rules). And this was around that late comeback you see in the third set ;) http://www.toernooi.nl/sport/match....atch=190#ctl00_ctl00_cphPage_cphPage_tblGame3
