Li Yongbo stated the main reason of the failure was due to the lack of centralized training. I believe there's some truth about it, however, I think the real impact wass due to the poor world ranking of Chinese players after skipping few tournaments as most of them were playing against their compatriots in early rounds hence unable to have their traditional escort to dictates the final outcomes. Well, who to blame as they are the ones to decide not to participate the Malaysia and the Korea Super Series.

Let's hope that CHN players would not be skipping the BWF main events in future

    .
If you are correct... Let's hope that CHN players would not be skipping BWF's main events in the future.

I am not worried about China...this is just very small disturbance for them....they will be fine in WC...but again..I have to say that majority of players do not get tooe xcited to go to India for WC...they are abit scared..hehe..the chinese players I talked to is planning to bring their own food, mostly instant noodle...just in case...I guess LCW's food poison travelled that far to CHN team...

Yeah, I agree. It's only a small hiccup. World domination will commence soon, especially in the women's department. The world has time and time again thrown some respectable challenges to the Chinese, but they always responded.

Agree. The fragmented world ranking of CHN players make it difficult for LYB to use his relay strategy.
However,Non-CHN players have really improved as well which compounded his problem.
Basically,CHN is at the stage where their inexperienced younger stars are competing against experienced non-CHN opponents.
Experience wins over youth when the older players' stamina is still competitive.

Hmm..lack of training or poor world ranking??..

..Lu Lan had a chance to topple Saina but didn't live up to her expectation (just like the week before, at the S'pore Open, when she lost to Fu Mingtian in the Rd of 32). Wang Lin won her earlier meeting vs. Saina, also the week before @ the S'pore Open, but sure didn't show much fight in the last 2 games of her Final match.
If the reason of poor world ranking, then probably CHN weren't able to field ZL or XXF or WYH against Saina (Zhu Lin played instead of JiangYJ in the INA Open). Could any one of the three have taken out Saina??..
