Yes...the match also happened in French Super Series 2007, lasted 1:47 as shown in tournamentsoftware. That's the longest ever match I believe.

    Yes exactly.
But there's no other WD french player to form a good pair with her.

Boe/Mogensen are picking up steam now. Often top players are sometimes not too comfortable playing Indian players initially. Even Ma Jin/Wang Xiaoli struggled a bit with Jwala Gutta and her young partner Ashwini Ponnappa.

Quite a good looking girl, is Ashwini Ponnappa, talked to her and her parents during India Open GP Gold. :D

Ponnappa has a very powerful smash from what I've seen last week. Actually, she nearly plays mixed doubles with Jwala Gutta. Gutta is always at the net and Ponnappa smashing behind.
On the matchs I saw, Gutta was not really kind with her team-mate, even though Ponnappa was running all over the court...

I don't think it's required. Look at Russkikh, always playing with foreigner players.

Well, they don't deserve to be ridiculous in front of french crowd.
Moreover, Laura Choinet is kinda cute. :D

That is very true, Gutta doesn't really take her fair share of the workload whether in WD or XD. That's probably one of the reasons why she had a falling out with her former WD partner Shruti. Ponnappa is still a junior but one day she too might not be able to withstand Gutta's behaviour.

    total of 16 points finally.
Hongyan is last chance for french fans.
Konon's a better draw than Shixian Wang. She would have lost for sure against chinese junior. Still, I'm expecting a hard fight tomorrow. The last matches of Shixian Wang were victories faced to Chen Wang, Yihan Wang, Lan Lu and Lin Wang !

    Quite a few upsets..

..surprised to see quite a few upsets.
    - The biggest one is definitely Olga over WangSX, which could've gone either way.
    - Then Persson upsetting Simon in straight games?? Perhaps Simon knew what was coming or who he'll face in the QF should he win..:p
    - Firdasari's win over Tine is a bit of a surprise. Tine must've ran out of gas in the rubber game by looking @ the scoreboard.
    - And the last one, the Brits gals beating the INA WD pair. Last game tells it all..:p
..not only against INA WDs but against any pair. Rubber games and long rallies are the JPN WD's specialty..
..tell me about it. Concur on the 1st point. And yes, i've mentioned abt the 3rd point in one of the Denmark Open threads..
..Lind's pic is in the badzine link, the one Raphy gave early in this thread. You can do a search & find his own website. Or you can go to this thread, below, to see a couple of his pics (from last yr's U.S. Open):
    http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57223&page=2 (post #28, 4th picture down)
http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57223&page=5 (post #71, next to a broken racket pic)

As for HK Vittinghus, yes, you can find a few of his pics on the internet. He also has his own website..
