to train them I guess. :p But it is better, WYH, WL, LL, JYJ and etc can concentrate in preparing for the badminton league. :D But I am sad that they don't send Li Xuerui and Shi Xiaoqian. :(

Lin Dan has a bye in the first round. He will be playing against the winner between Hu Yun and Hsieh Yu Hsin in the second round. Chen Jin will most probably meet Chan Yan Kit in the second round. Zhang Yawen will not be playing WD in EAG, but she will play XD with Tao Jiaming. They have a bye in the first round. They might meet Wong Wai Hong/Koon Wai Chee in the second round. Another XD pair sent by China is Ma Jin/Zhang Nan, they have a bye in the first round and they might meet Hsieh Yu Hsin/Chien Yu Chin in the second round.

... therefore, I would suggest the future SSMF to be held in HK.. :):)

it could be easily done by just converting the HK SS to SSMF, we already have 3 SSs in China anyway (2 SSs in mainland China and 1 in HK)...

and the SSMF should be a year-end Masters Finals (like tennis) for the world's best 8, not only limited to SS players... :D:D

I was curious to see Macau won 3 golds, so I checked up on which events they won. You won't believe this:

Kuan Sok In / Kuan Sok Mui - Cycling - Indoor Pair Artistic Cycling
WONG Hang Cheong - Cycling - Indoor Single Artistic Cycling Men
KUAN Sok Mui - Cycling - Indoor Single Artistic Cycling Women

Artistic cycling? You're joking, right?

when i did the park rides, i was always wowed by the tricks my mates and meself can conjure and inflict (injury/pain) but they are the regular stuffs back in the days. the 360 degrees (now guys do 540 degrees--standard, plenty of 720s, even 980s...man i just felt so old), table tops, one-hander standing wheelies, endo jumping jacks (with flexible rims), quarter pipes, half pipes jumps and tricks, etc. it was rad back then (well the way i look at it now, i look like a sissy), today's kids are the true rads.

sometimes i do get to see artisic riders (i don't get it though, they practice indoors) as well, they are in fact better than me or us i think because i can't do what they can but i surely thought they can replicate us in a heartbeat.

you know, artistic cycling can be a sweet girl hung around your neck while you do bunny hops! ha ha ha ha ha:D

So you gave up your trick bike for a badminton racket

I'm always curious about how a Games Committee selects a sport. I mean Artistic Bicycling isn't exactly native to the region (like wushu for instance)

probably anything that can rein in the medals is all that matters, right?

first, i'm a long distance rider on the bmx--i specifically chose to ignore the racers to train against them (used to be nuts for intensive training. oh, i hit the weights as well, religiously.). big rims vs small rims (once i switch to racers, it felt like cheating, easy peasy.). when free time is available at all, we'll do the tricks and marvels at each other.

hey, whatcha gonna do, get laugh at with our sissy tricks compared to the rads today? started on wooden baddy racquet hand-me-downs and tennis as well...but biking is a lotta fun, you get scenery and a great workout!

HKG has a big chance to grab the women team event champion with the absence of WYH, WL, LL, JYJ and etc in the WS field. It's time to test how best can the youngsters like XJY and CXJ do. I hope XJY can create some upsets there.

    You and your CHN youngsters.
I am sure the more experienced Hong Kong ladies can take care of them. ;););)

    Why convert? Just add extra!!:)

I thought perhaps 1st day of badminton being on a weekday would not be too popular. I tried to get a ticket to day. All sold out.:crying:
