Come to think of it Ricky Subagia is relatively young to have an 18-year old son. :D

Hope we're talking about the same guy, ie, Rexy's ex-MD partner. ;)

Yes we were talking about Ricky Subagja from Ricky-Rexy... ;) Oh, by the way, Riyanto Subagja is 15 today. Going to become 16 this year... Still young enough to represent INA in the 2009, 2010, and 2011 World Junior Championships... and the 2010 Youth Olympics... :D We'll see...

    INA rankings

I just checked the newest PBSI ranking from www.pb-pbsi.org ... of course this ranking do not include last week's Dutch Junior results...

    BS Under-19
    8. Riyanto Subagja
    11. Arief Gifar Ramadhan

    GS Under-19
    8. Rischa Meissiani
    9. Ayu Wanda Tika Wulandari

    BD Under-19
    1. Ullin-Berry, but they are also ranked 14th in the All Age category

    WD (All Age)
    27. Jenna-Olifta
    31. Delis-Yayu

    XD (All Age)
    16. Ullin-Jenna, they were ranked 1st in the Under-19 category at the end of last year... but Jenna, will turn 19 this year.

I think Jones-Darmiko already can reach the semifinals of INA's 2008 National Championship. Lost to eventual champions Seiko-Didit. I also heard that Ullin-Berry didn't do well in last year's National Championship because Berry got typhoid a few weeks before the event.

Someone told me Seiko-Didit were supposed to go to Dutch and German Junior too, but one of them got Dengue Fever, not sure which one... Yup, this is Indonesia... we not only have plenty of badminton players, unfortunately viruses are also plentiful and thriving...

Actually, Jones-Nurbeta are ranked number 1 in XD Under-19 [Taruna] right now... But they have never won a championship yet. They were always overshadowed by their seniors, Ullin-Jenna, throughout 2008...

    Which is quite logic :)

Nevertheless futeure of Indonsesian badminton seems to be covered. I'm sure they scoop some medals at the German Junior as well. Although it will be harder with the Danes and Koreans...

Pff, and he was one of the only Europeans who could beat the Asian delegation.

Once again we're counting on the Danes
