2009 BWF schedule-Looking ahead..

Why call it KLRC if played in Canada?
The club is based in Kuala Lumpur, and it sponsors alot of tournaments.. therefore the tournaments get named after it.

Just like the Singapore "AVIVA" Open. It's sponsored by the company named AVIVA.

April:
27 Apr-02 May KLRC Canadian Open Grand Prix 2009 Quebec, CAN GP USD 50,000

July:
07 Jul-12 Jul USA Open Grand Prix 2009 * Los Angeles, USA GP Gold USD 50,000 (this must be a typo, should be just a GP event)

hum these 2 tournaments are looking good for me, since there in my area so i can travel to them. hopefully finals dont fall on to when the Canadian Open is taking place else wont be able to play. the US Open though well we will see that wouldnt be a bad one to go to either.

Our 2009 BWF Schedule at Badminton Central

.
Our kwun must be so busy that our 2009 BWF Schedule has not been released yet.

But it's great that our BCers are adding more and more info regarding tournaments to be held in 2009.

:):):)

KLRC has been sponsoring events in New Zealand and more recently Bulgaria. So, no surprise if it's sponsoring event in Canada too. Some of the Canadian players might be under KLRC too.

12 Super Series Events as usual

5 confirmed GP Gold Events:
India, BAC, Thailand Macau, Chinese-Taipei. Philippines Open are not confirmed yet.

8 annual GP Events:
German, Dutch, Bitburger, Russia, Vietnam, New Zealand, US, Canada.

Hope that more clubs could also sponsor more Badminton tournaments worldwide

To me, it is great to have KLRC(from Malaysia) sponsoring Badminton tournaments away from Malaysia.

I hope that more clubs from stronger Badminton playing nations like China, Denmark, Indonesia, Korea, etc... could do the same.

where is china this year? I don't know if everyone already knows or not, but it seems no one is talking about it. They weren't in Malaysia and they won't be in Korea...What's the deal?

^^Yes...^^

..we've discussed about their absence already...;)
You can search the threads in the Professional Players' sub-forum/section as well as in last month's SS Masters Final in the 2008 Tournaments sub-forum/section...

^^Actually..^^

..they **were** at the military/police camp. It's officially over, at least for a week, already. They're now @ full time baddy training camp.
