For Divisions other than Div 1, they don't play crossover semifinals. If USA is placed second, they will only fight for 3rd placing in the Division.

oh. and the funniest part of it is that LYB said with the new ordering, MS is played last, he claims that by then CHN will have won the tie 3-0, 4-0 or 3-1 and LD vs. LCW will not be as meaningful. he wants to see a "real" match played between LD and LCW, for learning/training purposes.

oh good ole LYB, can't hate him, but can't like him either!

If MAS get the semis, they will face INA. If 3rd-placed, which is more likely, they will face DEN tomorrow. So, resting WMC may be a good idea. WS is a dead giveaway for any country against China anyway.

another thing to note is that the MAS coaches made that decision (or had that realization) at the last minute. they had WMC on the list first, and then crossed it out and replaced with Anita.

as much as i like THA's players and the country, i frankly have to say that their chances of beating ENG is less than 50%.

Very true, and they're playing in Britain ....

I expect MAS to play to their true colours today (though they'd still lose) and try to redeem some pride by beating similarly out of luck DEN in the 5th/6th placing matches.

Yes, kwun. A lot hinges on the XD. If Saralee/Suket can pull it off and then Boonsak shud see off AS, allthey need is another point from the WS,MD or WD. I am sure THA will be fighting tooth and nail as they do not want to be last in the group.

Im looking forward for the match between LD & LCW, i hope to see a good fight :p:p Its been long time since the last time i saw they played against each other ! ;);) However, i dont favour they play last, My God, although LD has an upper hand.......... i still hope LCW will try his best, LCW cannot take pressure if really 2-2 (possibility is not that high though, lol) :)

    Div 2 Group A

    Current position: SIN(2,8-2) TPE(1,6-4) GER(1,5-5) SWE(0,1-9)
Last ties of the group: SIN v GER, TPE v SWE

SIN win, TPE any result - SIN(3,x-x) etc.

SIN lose, TPE lose - GER(2,x-x) SIN(2-x-x) etc.

    SIN lose, TPE win
    SIN 2-3, TPE 5-0 - TPE(2,11-4) SIN(2,10-5) GER(2,8-7)
    SIN 2-3, TPE 4-1 - SIN(2,10-5) TPE(2,10-5) GER(2,8-7)
    SIN 2-3, TPE 3-2 - SIN(2,10-5) TPE(2,9-6) GER(2,8-7)
    SIN 1-4, TPE 5-0 - TPE(2,11-4) GER(2,9-6) SIN(2,9-6)
    SIN 1-4, TPE 4-1 - TPE(2,10-5) GER(2,9-6) SIN(2,9-6)
    SIN 1-4, TPE 3-2 - SIN(2,9-6) TPE(2,9-6) GER(2,9-6)
    - total sets won-lost tiebreak (etc.) for SIN, TPE, GER
    SIN 0-5, TPE 5-0 - TPE(2,11-4) GER(2,10-5) SIN(2,8-7)
    SIN 0-5, TPE 4-1 - TPE(2,10-5) GER(2,10-5) SIN(2,8-7)
    SIN 0-5, TPE 3-2 - GER(2,10-5) TPE(2,9-6) SIN(2,8-7)

I am well aware that some of these results are near impossible (like SIN losing 5-0 or even 4-1, and TPE losing), but I am listing out every possibility for academic reason.

Pretty straightforward. Winner between JPN and POL tops the group. Loser will be 2nd.

For Promotion Playoff, I'd say JPN vs SIN, with JPN on slight advantage. They lost the previous playoff to MAS.

Meaning to say Anita can beat ZN, which i think the chances is even more lower. I think is because they are going to push different players up, since they have already predicted they will not be winning. However, i still think Thai will stand a 50-50 chance against England :D
