Well, the sad thing for England is that he is the best MS player there. Anyway, we shouldn't laugh at him just because he is not in the same league.

I know we (the Malaysians) are slightly pissed off because he ignored Malaysia's strength in the mixed team, but I think we have thrown enough bad comments about him already.

haha, actually, a small part of me wants CTF/WCH to lose, because otherwise they won't show the badminton finals on the BBC. I don't have digital TV you see. But only a very small part ....

Hmmm, a little unfair to comment on Aamir Ghaffar on his performance. He did exceed expectations as he is only seeded 7th here.

Also, don't forget he was up against one of the world's very top elite player. Lee CW is head and shoulders above the field here (maybe apart from WCH, but Wong is getting old and playing too many matches), and he hasn't even been pushed passed 4th gear yet as far as I can tell. Anup Sridhar did try to challenge Lee CW for a while, but Lee just upped the tempo by a bit and Anup cracked. If anyone watched the All England semi final between Lee Cw and Lin Dan, I think people would agree that Lee CW is just too strong here, plain and simple.

So I think Aamir was very brave and did try his best (though a bit naive in his comments:)). We can only wish him best of luck from here.

hahaha, calm down, it's only the commonwealth games. plus, won't it be more exciting if it weren't an all-malaysian final? WCH might not even play seriously if he has other events to worry about, i'm sure he'll concentrate more on the XD since gold and silver are guaranteed for MS and MD.

That's it, all-M'sian MD final. 21-11 second set.

agree, from now on, i will stop commenting on him.
i would also wish him the best if he learned to be more humble. we will wait and see.

Those wily veterans Choong/Wong have a good chance of upsetting Chan/Koo.

    Finals
MS - LCW vs WCH (LCW to win)
MD - Chan/Koo vs CTF/WCH (close to call, Koo's frontcourt antics vs Choong's attacking power and experience)
WS - WMC vs Tracey Hallam (close to call, WMC slight advantage if not injured. Tracey with better court skills)
WD - Wong/Chin vs Jiang/Li (Wong/Chin, could be a 3-game hard match or a 2-game very easy one as in last year's SEA games)
XD - Emm/Robertson vs Shirley/Runesten Petersen (close to call, Emms/Robertson has advantage).

i think WCH will be concentrating on the XD, so might not perform to his best in the MS and MD. also, i think emms and robertson are going to walk the gold, they haven't even been pushed at all so far, so whatever score they've conceded in the past is pretty much meaningless. i would say, and i don't normally say this, but WS is going to be very exciting if they play like they played in the mixed team event ...
