    Why Lin Dan lost?

    1. XXF lost, LD doesn't want to win alone :)
    2. He's burnt out, playing in too many tournaments lately
    3. He wanted to give BCL a chance to win
    4. All Chinese Semifinals didn't excite him
    5. He's tired? He almost didn't smash at all in the third set, not the full power smash
    6. He wanted to show that he can do what Taufik did to him in JO final, too :)

    ...

Lin Dan lost because he did not win. Had Lin Dan won, he would not have lost. Therefore, the reason Lin Dan lost is simple because he did not win. So by not winning, Lin Dan lost.

Lin Dan is overloaded with winning. So he needs unload the burden, and get good rest.

not mean to disrespect Bao or LD, i like them all.
and no intention to find excuses for LD's lost as some Taufik fans do, but i really doubt that LD lose it intentioanlly. engine just stopped when leading 17:9 all of a sudden, and unforced errors tripled.
no harm to LD if lose in CO when china already secured the champion. but a victory to Bao means a lot: confidence, IBF points, rank.
actually i should not speak out like this to ruin a good will. if Bao grows up and china team becomes more powerful.

Hahahaha.....finally this thread appears. Ive been waiting for this.

Lin Dan lost because nowadays there is a mentality traumatiscm of playing 3rd set for all the top guns in the new rally scoring system. 3rd set can bring darkside to the Top Gun players due to they cannot settle the 2nd set. Victims have been already Taufik and Lin Dan so far. Perhaps Chen Hong can also be inserted during WC2006 semifinal.:D

Why does everybody mind about this? Bao is the one who beat the 1st seed Lin Dan in the world junior championship 6 years ago, and now he did it again in China Open... There's nothing wrong about this...

There are 26 tournments in under the "2006 Tournments" tab. Let say there are 32 players/teams in each of the 5 categories. That means there are 31 x 5 x 26 players/teams got eleminated. So there can be 4030 "Why XYZ lost" threads. If this kind of threads continues, Kwan will need a new hard disk every year. :D

Logically, not winning equals a loss, which is the result not a reason.
