If Lin and Gade meet in the semis, Lin will have the edge
    http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-16083.html

"Watching Lin Dan play, it's like he modelled his style from Peter Gade. Who else is harder to beat than against an in-form super fit version of yourself? Maybe that is why Peter Gade can not beat Lin Dan."

I'm saying Peter Gade has only beaten Lin a hand full of times, and recently none.... Lin will have 7-9/10 on Gade.
LCW vs Taufik. Taufik has won all recent matches except the Proton Malaysian open, where he lost very badly. Taufik is the more muscular of the 2, and yet he seems to be affected more, i wonder why... can it be because of racket choice? LD, Taufik, Zhang NIng, and XXF, all users of at-700, have all sufferred a 3-round match against weaker and unseeded players.
So LCW wil have the advantage 6-8/10.
And if LD faces LCW, LCW will have the advantage, it'll be like a repeat of the Malaysian open. Unless, LD and taufik shape up, LCW will be the champion...

PS can ANYONE get on to the address www.tournamentsoftware.com ??? I've tried on several computers, none work...

Why not all the way and be the first Malaysian World Champion?Lcw definitely has all the skills to be the champion.Believe in yourself,Lcw.You have beaten all the players that are now standing in your way.Go and get them and let the world know your true capability. It,s high time to shed your 'Jaguh Kampung'tag.Your hope is going to come true.Have a nice morning,if u are in Malaysia.

I predict all men singles QF will be long and tough matches. But, hopefully Taufik can reach SF even not easy to beat KJ. He will meet LCW in SF. Big surprise today will be made by Korean who beat Lin Dan. Lin Dan never win in big tournament like this. Prediction: SF Lee Hyun Il X Chen Hong, Bao Chun Lai X Taufik Hidayat....

MD: Please don't surprise me with 3 Indonesian pairs in SF :)

Your MS SF prediction could happen..However I also won't bet against PGade..Or could both LinD and CHenH falter and we'll see a LeeHI vs. PGade match in the other SF??..
BTW, your prediciton below contradicts each other, you said it'll be LCW against Taufik, but later said it'll be BCL against Taufik..which one is it??..;)

I think it's wrong to say LD never win in big tournaments.
LD has been in form for the past 18 months. He has reached 2 all england finals , losing one. He was undefeated in the sudirman and thomas cup campaign. Okay, he bombed in the olympics but thst's just one tournament.
I would say he has been the most consistent in big tournaments compared to the other 'big' players.

MD also tough matches. I am worry about 3 Indonesian pairs. I am afraid they can't through QF. Probably only Flandy/Eng Hian or Luluk/Alven... Chandra/Sigit is my favourite, but I doubt they can beat Danish pair
