    Yes, this will be my 1st time in Indo, and thanks for the heads up n the BC party. Wooohooo. I need to get a better camera since the one I have is old and poor resolution. =(

    And now back on topic:

    Please come and join us in this 1st annual event and help make it a successful one. There's already over $2,500 in sponsorship prize money to be won, plus the raffles of Yonex products!!! Also, don't forget, the majority of the entry fees are added to the total purse prize!! :D

    Hmm..

    Hi tinstatl,
    Paul has left the building...;)...Actually Paul has left the U.S. and is on his way to Jakarta to accompany the U.S.'s Uber Cup team. And i'm not sure if he'll get a hold of an internet access soon & follow up on your query.
    For your inquiry, i would contact & ask the person(s) in charge in post #1 (either email him/her using the email address given or call OCBC phone no.)
    Good luck!-:cool::cool:

    hi guys, i was checking out the tournament software site earlier to see if the draws are out yet and found something really unfair. There is this guy playing B man double and funky playing D mix, how on earth can the organizers let this happen. Is it really fair for everyone?

    Hmmmm, I don't see it. Please PM me and I'll talk to the organizers if there is indeed a mistake. :)

    I haven't seen the draws, yet...

    ..but yes, after searching the list of players' names:p, i think i know who the person you're referring to. If not mistaken, the person plays in 3 events (as you mentioned)..As to why the organizers let that happened, i don't know. All i know is there are also other players playing in 3 events.
    My hunch as to why is, since the person is playing in the B MD, Funky Doubles and D XD, my guess is, the person (you're referring to) is around a C level player. And if not mistaken, i know the person's partner (in B MD and Funky Doubles).
    As far as i know, in Funky Doubles and B MD, the partnership doesn't have to be of equal level (one partner can be an A level, whilst the other partner can be lower level: B, C or even D level). In the D XD, the person can be a C level player and the other partner can be a D or intermediate beginner. I would be surprised if the person (you're referring to) is a B or an A level player, though.:cool:

    ^^Wait for the draws..^^

    ..to come out and see when you (and partner) are scheduled to play; most likely they'll come out by tomorrow (Thursday) night. If you don't have to play on Friday night, then you don't have to come.:cool:

    Some pics to share...Day 2 (Saturday)..

    ...of this weekend's first annual Spring Challenge, which was held @ OCBC. While all the U.S. top players were competing up north in the $20,000 Bay Area Open, it was a different kind of atmosphere and competition down south @ OCBC. Much more subdued and with less fanfare. Nonetheless, the players and competitors, which included the many familiar local young (yes, there were many young faces) and more seasoned faces, enjoyed a lot of fun.
    Here are some pics from the Day 2 action-enjoy:
