Hi everyone, since I saw a low of people with digital cameras from BF there today, I thought that I'd take the initiative and start a pictures thread so we don't clog up the other one just for talking about the tournament. Here are my first preliminary panaoramas. More pics to come in the hours and days to come.

    Yonex Booth

And what is a badminton tournament without a good dose of Yonex in your face. Here's their merchandise booth area and also where the stringers are.

    Movie!!!

And to cap it off. Due to popular demand. A movie of a quick point between the Koreans and the Taiwanese from my digital camera. Naturally you'll have to squint to enhance the resolution. Mileage may vary. *sarcastic*

It's too big to upload here, so here's the link.

Hey ants, I was using a Canon S30 Digital. No special lens was used. I just stitched together a series of photos to create the panoramas. Given there's no flash photography allowed, and I was very far away from the action at times, some of my pics were naturally blurry (the flash won't reach so far anyway).

Glad you enjoyed the pics. I'll have more next Saturday when I line judge the finals for the individual events. :D

Not really this time around, but I'll try to keep that in mind next Saturday. I'm sure other people with cameras there will have some in the mean time? Post your pics up people ! :D

I'm not sure actually if that is the indonesian team. That was taken from the lower area where the teams and line judges are sitting, so it could be. I can't say for sure. Others may be able to help.

dknygirl, in your training program, did Mia Audina help out in the junior team training? I know our canadian jr men singles alex pang had some training with Ardy Wiranata in has preparation with the world jr tournament.

Our MS and MD lost to the Nederland :(

Yes, that's the indonesian team. The girl with a cup in her hands is "Polli" who made a very strong impression to the audience during a match against Denmark. The indonesian girls are short compare to other countries' female players.

How are the prices of rackets @ the WJC? Are they generally cheaper than shops in Vancouver or more expensive?

I actually didn't ask them how much they were charging for any of the items since I wasn't in the market for anything. I imagine it won't be any cheaper than Tads or Abbies though.
