I'm done french yay... I started hating french after gr 5 :p

I wish Chinese schools didn't teach only cantonese and mandarin... what about us Toisan ppl? It's so hard for me to learn cantonese or mandarin because it's not my native dialect.

Well, the French language is quite lovely, if I might add, most especially when their Parisien accent engulfs their English. Simply find woman who speaks that way to be quite... how to say... attractive and cultured.

"Vhat ees eet zhat vhrings zou zoo zis part of zer world, chèrie?".

I wonder if my generalisation of French ladies as Julie Delpy's 1996 character Celine in 'Before Sunrise' is a tad too simplistic. She is so... cultured... :)

Took French as an elective at the university, regretted not finishing up to level 3 and 4!:(

I didn't know all Canadians learn french at school!? Is there a reason for that?

wilfredlgf, I personally don't like parisien accent (nor girls with that accent ;) ), find it stressing :p

One province in canada, Quebec.... Is a french speaking province

So I guess that's why we have to know french in Canada.

I'll rather go to war than learning french though :p

I hate french alot... Mainly because..

I don't like how Canada treat french (the language) so important.
Moreover, I don't like when my teachers expect to know as much as she wants me to know.

I mean, it's a totally new language. Not to mention I don't like it.

Yet they expect me to know wtf they're saying when they talk to me in french:mad::mad:
