So I went for my first run in almost 2 months just 30 minutes ago. I couldn't wait. The relief and exhilaration of moving quickly was almost surreal for the first 10 minutes. There was still some discomfort in my ankle as I ran up hills, but it was definitely worth it. Regaining something after losing it makes you cherish it much more than you ever initially did. I can't wait to go for my next run now, whereas 3 months ago, I would never want to.
