    Depends on Tension :)

To be honest, I've used all except for BG80. It seems to me that BG85 has the BEST durability- better than NBG95... I'm in Australia right now, and the strings that I bought are from here. Dunno where they got it from, but they don't look fake to me.

I snapped both of the strings on my 2 rackets, and decided to actually have the SAME tension, but DIFFERENT string type- both 23ps, one's BG85 and one's NBG95. I used it in both different matches, and I seem to play quite defensive using NBG95. Apparently I used it on my 'defensive' racket (AT500 :p), and used BG85 on MP99. I know scientifically it's quite biased coz different racket and stuff, but when I used NBG95 you can see deep grooves along the centre when I played with it for the first time...

    So my opinion:
    NBG95
    Durability: 6
    Control:9
    Power: 6
    Sound:5

    BG85
    Durability: 8
    Control:9.5
    Power:8
    Sound:8

    BG66
    Durability: 5
    Control: 10
    Power:9.5
    Sound: 9.5

Looks weird huh? So i think it depends on who uses it... My rating's a bit out of the spectrum, but... Might be useful!

    BG80
(never tried this one... is it good? lots of pple are using it... Comment on this one plzz, coz still can't get definite conclusion)

My NBG98 finally started to fray. Had it strung on my 900T since 1/11/08.

Did not like the BG85 on my 900P, and I restrung that with NBG95 @ 25#, so far it is a great combo as I am getting used to the 900P.

I decided to give BG66 a try on my 900T.
Got it strung at 25# today.

So will update later. My buddy had her 900T strung with NBG95@25#, so I can also compare based on experiences with NBG98, NBG95 and BG66 all on a 900T at 25#....cool, can't wait to check it out.

Also, the cool pearl white BG66 strings matches my 900T perfectly. = D

I haven't used some of the strings in a long time but here is my opinion.

    NBG95
    Durability:9.5
    Control:7
    Power:8.5
    Sound:7

    BG85
    Durability:6
    Control:9
    Power:8.5
    Sound:9

    BG66
    Durability: 5
    Control:9
    Power:9.25
    Sound:8.5

    BG80
    Durability:6
    Control:9
    Power:9
    Sound:9.5

I will also add in NBG98

    NBG98
    Durability:8
    Control: 7
    Power:10
    Sound:8

    Changed back to NBG95 @25#.
    Still the best combo : 900T + NBG 98 or NBG95 at 25#

Ok. I just ordered a AT800def and have ordered NBG98 at 24Lbs. I will get back too you how well it performs.

I have NS9000X with NBG95 at 24 Lbs and have had it for 6 months- no signs of wear at all. And I havent been holding back on smashes.

When It was still new the NBG95 felt kinda numb but after a while I have got the feeling back and it plays really nice. To be honest I don't think its ever going to break because I looked really closely at the strings and they only thing thats come off is the Yonex Paint Emblem. I have the same NBG95 at 24 Lbs on my AT900T and thats exactly the same- no wear, lots of power and good control. Control a bit better actually on the AT900T but thats probably the racket design.

I have also had BG65 at various tensions:

    BG65 at 28Lbs:

    Power: 9.5
    Durability; 3
    Control: 6
Sound: 7.5- it kinda just went 'ping' but the angle of the shot made it land inside the service line from a back court smash!

    BG65 at 24 Lbs

    Power: 8
durability: 6- it has frayed badly but still performs.
    control: 7
    Sound: 6 average nothing special.

    BG 65 at 21 Lbs

    Power: 8-
durability- 9.5- its not gonna break.
control; 7 nothing special but what you expect.
sound; 5-9 it can sound average unless you get a good sweetspot smash and then it just takes off.

    NBG95:

    power; 9
    control; 9
    durability; 9.5
sound 4-9- slow shots you hear nothing and it feels numb, smash and big whoosh.

NBG95 at 24 Lbs is basically a good balance, you shouldn't break this string unless you really are a huge smasher and even then its gonna take a lot of punishment. Perhaps big smashers are using higher tensions and that weakens the string and frame, its rated at 24 lbs for a reason and the reason is to stop most players breaking it.

You should try to do a comparison on the same racket and tension because it will have different performance if you use different rackets and tensions

    New update :
My friend got her 900T strung with BG85 at 25#. Can't wait to see how it feels just to prove I am not compatiable with the qualities of the string based on my last experience. Still liking my 900T with NBG95 lots, but I long for NBG98 still. = D Thinking of ordering them and have it strung locally.....

OK, BG85 at 25# on the 900T was great since it was freshly strung.
    Nice alternative to NBG95.

But it is not as repulsive as NBG95 when it comes to blocking, simply holding the racket face still against a fast smash. Overall not bad IMHO.

If i like to smash, want durability, control, and is an intermediate player, which string should I get? I'm using BG65 factory right now and it is loose.

Cannot go wrong with BG80 or NBG95.

    Since mid-October, 2007:
BG80 strung @ 25# on Cab 30ms (3UG4) still holding tension and smashing great.
Will need to change strings soon.

    Since June, 2008:
    NBG95 @25# on 900T (4UG4), great crisp fresh feel.

    Since April, 2008:
NBG95 @25# on 900P (4UG4), still holding tension and smashing great but not as crisp feel as a freshly strung NBG95.

    About myself:
    twice a week for 2 hours/session.
Like to think of myself as smash/offensive player. At least I smash hard whenever I am given the opportunity =D.

Again search through the forum because this has being answered before by me and many other people. NBG98 has much better durability than BG66.

You said you wanted durability and power so NBG95 is your best option. BG80 lacks durability. As for tension go with 22x24lbs
