I want to suggest a badminton male & female team title for the London Olympic in 2012 since most venue has team event.
They brought in team titles for Table Tennis in this OG with the expense of double titles - otherwise, it would be difficult for Singapore women's team (the silver medalists) to break their 40+ year of OG medal drought. But I guess TT are different from badminton as most of the peddlers are playing in both single and double events.
Previously, table tennis had 5 events (like badminton). But they got all their doubles taken out and added the two team events, so they now have 4 events. I'll take our 5 events, thank you very much. Best leave the team events to Thomas, Uber and Sudirman.
i agree. unless they would allow all 5 individual events plus 2 team events, i choose 5 individual events.
how about as kwun said, Asian Games style, 2 team events plus the normal 5 we have now? wont that be nice... altho the players may get tired...
Anyway, previously mixed doubles wasnt contested in table tennis, so as a result the team events replaced only the mens and womens doubles. The total remains at 4.
disagree!There are no doubles games in Table tennis individual,only in team's.The another reason is that shuttlers easily get hurt than table tennis players.So there can't be so many matches a player should play in a badminton tournament.
