Not to forget Lin Dan rose through the ranks of hundreds of young promising badminton players in China and then the whole of planet earth through merit. Handling pressure is his middle name.

After the match LCW was smiling and embraced LD for a long time. He knew he had got beaten by an amzing performance. LCW will not be bitter. Dissappointed of course, but the initial reaction fro mhim was correct. He watched a defining moment in badminton.

LCW celebrated too early (after Semi final). His body is in unwinding mode when playing LD.

What can we say ? ... LIN Dan, being focused and determined, won the Gold medal easily.

Let us not talk about LCW's loss, but about LD's GREAT WIN.

    :):):)

It is not about counting your chickens before they are hatched. We did it because we are true fanatical fans. But we are gracious to acknowledge defeat and accord LD his due respect. He was awesomely the best.

We, however, are the best fans LCW has.

LD is well prepared to face LCW. I wonder, how many players/experts have done homework about LCW's game. It's look like LD anticipated all his move.

LCW's return by forehand was shocking - each time he returned, LD was there to tap it away. LD's fast returns left LCW struggling - LCW could not match that in terms of speed.

Question is why ? Was he fatigued by LHI's match ? Maybe. But definitely, he had no answer at all to LD's energetic game - he looked so docile. Completely non-LCW.

Um...Lin Dan was in superb form. No question about that. Silver is still quite an achievement for a Malaysian. (But we cannot get satisfied easily, it does not work that way.) Do you guys know when is Chong Wei leaving back for Malaysia? I would want to try to be at KLIA when he arrives.

Getting the silver means you are the first loser. With LD in such mind-numbing greatness, I guess being the first loser is the best LCW could do. He could have made a better spectacle of it, but one way or another, there was only going to be one champion that night.

I think I had never ever seen a better badminton player than Lin Dan that evening!
He had everything - speed, power, accuracy, netplay and determination/hunger. In other words, he was totally AWESOME !! Lin Dan, I salute you. You deserved the Gold.

As for LCW, no shame to lose on that nite to a better player. Keep on top of your game and who knows the chance will come again in London. Syabas!

    Congratulations

Lee went with a high spirit as he knows Malaysians will put hope on him.
Though he didnt manage to reach the point to bring Malaysia to the peak, I(we) are still so proud of him.

Apparently he was off form during the match with Lin Dan.
Most probably he was already intimidated by Lin, knowing he is an excellent attacker rather than defender. Another thing was the chinese crowd which may have given him much mental disruption during the game.

Upon the losing the match point, I hope live spectators did not give harsh remarks to him, instead we should all ask Lee, "Hey, did you enjoy the game?"

well, if he doesnt, it may be the core reason why he couldnt get control of the game.

Its afterall mainly about the passion towards badminton, wasn't it?

2012 will be all yours, Chong Wei.

'm sick n tired of ppl saying lee c w under-pressure, din play well, homegnd advantage.

is interesting dat these were never the reasons when lee c w beat lee hyun-il, sony, etc.

the thg is, even though lee c w and lin dan are just one place apart in world rankings, but in terms of ability, skill n talent; lee c w is 20 places below lin dan.

despite lee c w's best effort, he cannot match lin dan at all and he never will.

it's just those blind fanboys (which happens to be mostly malaysian, dunno y) always get excited when lee c w or any malaysian badminton player got win a title or 2.
treat dem like already top-of-the-world players summore.

later and mostly in major tournaments they will simply fall apart. case in point, kkk/tbh, hafiz hashim, rachid sidek n many many more.

remember, lee c w has NEVER won any major tournament b4.

    form is temporary, class is permanent;

and lin dan has all the class.
