No money comes from IOC or WBF, or BAM. Any Prize monies for winning OG medals come from government.

OG has no prize money, the incentive is national glory on the biggest stage in the biggest sporting event in the world.

Yup. that was Chairma Mao's pin. LD admit he went to Mao's graveyard with a little bit relaxing mood before 2004 Athens OG

the young LD went to chairman Mao's grave just before the 2004 OG. he saw the statute of Mao in the searing heat and unrespectfully asked if he is too hot standing there.

LD believe that his disrespect has costed him the 2004 OG. so this time he paid proper respect to chairman Mao by wearing his pin on his jersey.

Lindan finally revealed the secret to today success. Per NBC post match review article Lindan said.

You see, he has played this game in his head over and over for so many times already, it just the matter of following through with the plan today. Which seems to explained the extremely few unforced errors. The previous videos against Lee were also closely analyzed as Lee's signature deadly drop shots, which trouble Lin many times before, were all answered, some with the tapped kill some with fancy cross court drop shot return.

In short, Lin deserved the win for his personal capability and for the countless overtime he has put in to mentally prepared himself :)

i hope he does. Look at zhang ning, she pull it off at 33. Currently i dont see new players from INA, KOR, MAL, DEN that is consider a threat or a potential threat to LD. If he stay active in competiton, his icon status will be grow as well. Yao ming is famous mainly because of his height and US recognition. As a player in their respective sports, LD is way more dominance in badminton than yao ming in basketball. I heard yao ming sits out 50% of the NBA duty due to injury, he's too tall and heavy.
