the most predicted and anticipated matches will start in a few hours. in case you have been living in a well sealed cave, that's the Beijing 2008 Men's Single final between Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei.

over the course of the Olympics, BC has been transformed into a "lively" discussion forum. but unfortunately, there are also negatives popping up amongst the discussion. being a forum with memberships from almost every badminton nation large and small, it is understandable to have differences in opinion. however, it is absolutely inexcusable for these difference in opinion to turn into endless argument and virtual fist fights. i am glad we are not gathered in one room otherwise i am sure i will be spending the next week wiping blood off the floor.

so anyway, in anticipation of the final battle, BC will enforce the follow rules of discussions:
    • be a good winner
      • rejoice at your own winning, but don't overly boast it.
      • do not rejoice on other's loss
    • be a good loser
      • praise other people's success
      • admit defeat like a lady/gentleman
    • respect others
      • no provocative comments
      • no name calling
      • no tit-for-tat insult
      • no foul language
      • discuss in our common language: English
remember that others will judge not only you, but also your country, culture on how you behave. if you behave poorly, it will ultimate hurt the image of your own country.

in the short week we have a handful of ban and moderators have deleted posts in the number that exceed total posts count in many other small forums. we will make sure that moderation will be super tight during and after the final.

so this evening, enjoy, have fun following the matches with your fellow badminton lover.

and may the better player win.

The proof is in the pudding as a saying goes.

Show a before and after pic. And hair in the bin is not enough proof!

The hottest match between the so called "Mighty but smelly China" n the "Malaysia boleh" is going to come in a few minutes more.Conflicts have been so rapidly occured between these two side of supporters.I guess kwun is wise to prepare this kind of policy. This time we still can hear all of the good words n commitment between these two sides..but who knows what will happend aferwards.Hopefully nothing will go wrong..

Wishing the two player all the best,n like kwun has said, may the better player win..

Also, may LCW be the tackle for LYB's target for the three golds..n may he get the last n only gold medal for badminton in beijing 2008.Don't let the malaysian badminton team go home without taking any medals.

Pemuda, I would say congrats to you for seeing through the haze and having the courage to speak up.

In cheering for Lee Chong Wei, the indirect assumption is that Lin Dan has either stopped improving, or worse, stagnated, which the records, medals, trophys do not attest to.

I want to say "Great match!" but the utter domination shown today made the bronze medal match a better viewing for badminton fans.

Lee Chong Wei is very gracious indeed with a wide smile, and congratulations at the net at the end of the match.
