Lin Dan played very well but LCW was not at his best at all, too much pressure I think

Yea, it is disappointing one-sided match and not living up to expectation. Indeed, it is Super Dan is came to play to day. Congratulation to Lin Dan!

He did cry! But I think he's a superhuman tonight! That was an incredible performance.

It's like everything we've seen from Lin Dan from the past year or so was just playing around! :S Where did that come from??? Must be the occasion. Biggest moment in his life brought out everything he had. It's a pity Lee Chong Wei couldn't have done the same :(. But he wasn't really given a chance, right from the beginning. Lin Dan started so strong and never let up, LCW was just never in a good position in just about any rally. He only really won points from Lin Dan's errors... Of which there were few.

Scary, just scary :S. But WELL DONE to Lin Dan, after all these years he's finally done it :D. And like the NZ (I think) commentator said, in just as dominant fashion as Taufik 4 years ago...

I think in the second set he was already up 18 when he made his second unforced error of the game - quite incredible.

This game also reminds me of Morten Frost where he beat Icuk in AE finals. Solid performance.

It's similar to Swiss final. Where LD made his very first unforced error after winning 15 or 16 points.

This reminded me about the World Championship 2005 Final, it was such a builtup pre-game, Lin Dan vs Taufik Hidayat and you knew what happened, lodsided match just like today.

As stated by someone else on this board, the trend of OG MS Gold & Bronze medalists coming from the same country since 2000 Games continues ...

That's why as a Malaysian, I was secretly hoping that LHI won the Bronze Medal when I watched him fighting CJ last night.
