I cant see lin dan throwing in the towel just yet, peter gade and kenneth they seem to enjoy the game and well they can still be pretty threatening players too so i dont see them quitting either.

Yup, but if LD quitting at the highest point and everyone will remember him. It was sad to see XXZ and CH faded out silently. :(

Peter Gade actually mentioned in the interview of Singapore Open 2007, said Olympic would be a good way to end his career, but again, he might change his mind, since he is still in a pretty good shape, and the younger ones are still a while away to beat him

Zhang Jiewen will retire (of course). Don't know what Yang Wei will do, pair up with Tingting and let Gao Ling concentrate on XD, perhaps?

LD and Gade can't retire yet, the younger CHN and Danes haven't matched their ability. And LD is younger than all his major opponents.

Kenneth Jonassen already announced he will retire after Denmark Open 08 on the international circuit. He will still be playing in the danish league.

LOL Lin Dan retiring is like saying to all the malaysian fans that LCW will be retiring! :p...i suspect Gao Ling has at least 2 years left or so...so probably count her out of the 2012 Olympics (she already has a set of medals to begin with LOL)...but i think Roslin Hashim and maybe Lee Tseun Seng/WCH, but nothing more than the usual lol..

2008 Retirees: Who's bowing out this year?

Seems like a lot of players are ending their careers either right after the games or sometime this year. Just thought we'd make a list of who and maybe pay some recognition.

Doesn't Jens Eriksen want to be the first pro player to play at international level at age 40+? LOL...(Is there any handicap points given to Masters "age wise" players in the international circuit?haha) I am sure he may have a chance to be in the Hall of fame by being the oldest around.:p
