How about this conspiracy theory, Lu Lan was told to lose to Maria to reward her help eliminating Tine Rasmussen ? :D:D:D

Hats off to the 3 girls, Zhang Ning, Xie Xingfang, and Maria.

I feel so sorry for Xie Xingfang. She looks very very disappointed..

LCW has RM700,000 on the line. Now think about all of the things you can buy with that. :D:eek::p

Yes congrats to all of them! Very well done!

But I can understand XXF's disappointed, so much effort and hardship then she has gone through and it was this close to reach an achievement of a life time.

Yea man if I was her I'd be like "Well what do I do now? I have to wait another four years." Really though what can you do? I guess you could say "Oh I'll juss try next time" but in freakin four years. I would go crazy if I were her right now.

Who reported my post?! Haha just kidding, that was inappropriate anyway. Mannn if LCW loses I think I will be just as sad as him. But if he wins, this time he should give Misbun a kiss haha.

I m tremendously happy for Zhang Ning (shed a little bit tears for ZN, high-10 with michelle & cousin), but really feel sad for XXF & LL...at least LL released her tension by sheding tears, and XXF has to hold back on the podium...thus I understand her emotionless reaction on podium. But this is the cruel part of the game, the winner is only one...

Congrats ZN, XXF, MKY & LL for bringing us great badminton match...

Or... LD can also complete their new house's silverware... ;)

LCW will make LD and XXF the silver couple! ;)

Err, I can't say I feel sorry for Lu Lan, she was at fault for losing focus. And Maria capitalized, as she should be doing.

A new upcoming player like young Saina Nehwal losing focus, you can understand. But not a top 5 player when medals are at stake.

I can sympathize with XXF. Yet Zhang Ning had always been a model of consistency, although she hasn't had a very good couple of years lately.

It was the mental aspect that won ZN this gold, just like the technical aspect won her the previous one at Athens.

    champion of the champion

this is what i expected and predicted the mens singles to be!

LIN DAN VS LEE CHONG WEI!!

both forms have be the best so far ive seen..

honestly, i dont know who will win this one.. its really hard to say.. will depend on whose the more consistent player tmr.. lin dan should watch out for lee chong wei's crosscourt smashes and netting though.

my prediction: lin dan to win in 3 extremely close sets.
