6'1''... I've had no prob being taller than most people I play against here. If anything it's been an advantage. I get around the court quicker than most; yeah smashes close to the upper body are a little difficult to return, but I imagine that's the same for anyone at any height! :)

6'4'' (194cm)... see no problem being taller then most on the court...many players get frustrated when they find it hard to hit birdie ''over'' me and loose thier ''mojo'' :)

I'm just curious as to why the people who are 6'2" want to be shorter?

I'm 5'10" and while it is above average for a person of chinese background, I feel the ideal height is 6'2" considering your weight is proportionate to that height. If you think about it, 6'2" isn't that much taller than 5'10". Everything fits better such as clothes etc.

So I want to hear why?

Im 6'1". I am considered very tall for a chinese. Height is not very good for badminton for singles as I tend to be slower when recovering compared to my friends who are 5'8" - 5'10". Height is good for doubles though because the smahes are harder to return. I wish to grow till 6'4" or 6'5" so i can dominate more in baskeball. :p

haha i want to be shorter by a bit because Asian girls are short :(. Most are like 5'4 - 5'6, and it just looks weird at times :D

from a badminton standpoint, body shots are hard to defend. I would rather be a bit shorter and just have to move faster as opposed to having the superior reach but always having to bend down so low.
