The Chinese would have won even if LKW didn't have ankle problem, LJH just made too mant mistakes(her trademark). China is the logical winner and well deserved. Congratulation!

Lets not over dramtise it, it wasn't as though KOR would have won otherwise......if it was 29-29 in the third maybe, bit they were well ahead. Yes it was wrong, but I don't think made a difference to result. KOR didn't protest too much either.

I think they Can. on WBF website said from this OG SJ can overule Umpire on decisions if they see fit, and therfore I assume LJ are lower than Umpire

So, you use 1 line call to take out a champion's all hard work? If the KOR did not really protest, but congrats DJ/YY, which means they know even if the point is reward to them, the game is long over by then.

You tell me, if that 29:29 in the deciding side, the KOR will simply let it go?

The only unfortunate pair is the Japanese who toppled the defending champion and come home with pride/honor but without medal.

Our mission is not debating here, it's not changing anything.

Our mission is to hope other teams standing up, produce more quality players to stop the CHN ON COURT. If you continue to let 3 or 4 CHN in semi, good luck with your "no fix".

So what if it was fixed, at least China can fix games.
How about other nations get 3 players good enough that they can have the luxury to do so, or have players that are so obedient to their coach?

The real reason for fans to shy away, if lackness of competition, be it match fixing among the same team, or ONE team kick the hell out of rest of world.

The root of the problem = other teams need to be better.

Please don't put words in my mouth.

It's not too much to ask for correct line calls to be made in an olympic final whether KOR win or not.

Not too much to ask to see a fair competition in the olympics.

AFAIC the match fixing, LYB arguing with judges and dodgy line calls all adds up to a simply bad experience. I can't say I care too much who wins either way, I watch for the enjoyment of the sport and I'm pretty disgusted with the way things have gone down today. It could turn me right off watching.

Judging by LHJ's performance in a few tournments before olympics, I actually think she improved a lot and became much more consistent. She can play a lot of beautiful strokes that most female players can not. However, she's back to be her old self today. I was really disappointed of the quality of the game:mad:

Sure, many CHN players (XXZ, XXF, CY in 2004, ZL, WYH, WL, CH, CY, ZTT, etc in 2008) are "banned" due to the limited entry rules already. Now, let's bann the entire team, because they are keep winning, because they have 3 out of 4 in the semi, and we are still 1,000 miles away from them.

Yeah, that's OG spirit. ;) Let the rank 75 vs. rank 80 shows continue. Let the WC, AC, TC/UC/SC champions crying at home, simply because they are "too good". :p

There are many wrong things only people good enough can do, but that doesn't make those things right.

I am so disgusted by this "luxury to do so" argument.

Nothing to do with them being good, everything to do with them being damaging to the sport. Certainly the western world won't be warming up to badminton after todays performance, the bbc commentators let it be known their own disgust. Though is there any point discussing this with you anyway? You seem to have rather a fanatical view.

Try count how many good basketball players from the US are "banned" due to the stupid "one team per country" rule. Also count how many good soccer players from Brasil are "banned" for the same reason.

Badminton in OG is supposed to be an individual event, the nationality of the final winner does not mean the country is the best (for example, TH won MS in OG04, but that doesn't mean Indonesia is the strongest country in MS, that title still belongs to China), it only means this particular player is the best. That's why one country can send more than one player to compete. These players are not supposed to collaborate.
