im going to hong kong this weekend and i was wondering wheres the best place to buy yonex stuff. i checked the other threads and noticed the messages/replies are still from 2006/2007. the last time, i asked a friend to buy me and AT limited edition...when it arrived the "super brands" writing on the shaft spelled out "super bArands"..i guess that was a fake..too bad it was stolen in the club. so right now im looking for a reputable shop....i hope someone can help me
Why not go to the section between Argyle Street and Dundas Street. There are a whole lot of sportsware stores and I'm sure you can find something.
i've been buying from mister keen sports from via email correspondance for my purchases of rackets and strings in recent months and he's been really good. prices are vry competitive and my purchases included stringing and a shirt or shorts. its in aderdeen somewhere in a big shopping centre. if you google 'mister keen sporting good' you should be able to find the address if you're intereseted/ otheerwise i might be able to find out for you cheers
I can vouch for the same experience of purchasing from Mister Keen. http://iypsearch.yp.com.hk/iypbusin...KwForClass=mister keen&txtKeyword=mister keen http://202.153.119.30/IYPMap/geniyp...re+Shopping+Centre,+Aberdeen&branch_id=226516 E-Mail: mksg@netvigator.com

Greetings, I am from HK and I hope I can help to provide some info. I'd recommend the following two stores, I've been these to purchase rackets and accessories. The store keepers are friendly and professional. http://www.kaisengbadminton.com http://www.cyfbadminton.com Other well known badminton stores are: http://www.rosesports.hk http://www.luxissportnet.com http://www.racketshop.com.hk All these stores sell genuine rackets.
thanks again. lastly, what shops do you guys think i should avoid? with pricing and authenticity issues...
Basically I'd say buying rackets at H.K. is rather safe. I have not experienced or heard of any kind of cheating activities happened in H.K. professional badminton stores. The store keepers are smart, they know how to distinguish between genuine rackets and China fakes. They are not willing to sell fakes which in turn costs them more trouble and ruins their business. For better pricing, always visit professional stores that sell only badminton (or badminton & tennis) related equipments rather than stores that sell general sport wares. I hope you'll enjoy shopping in H.K.
I dealt with rosesports last year and they do provide authentic rackets and a large variety but I did not receive the kind of customer service I wanted from an average shop. They were unable to meet my standards. If you have any other questions about the shop feel free to email me or pm me allenzhou_@hotmail.com
I'll be going to HKG soon, and thinking of getting some shuttlecocks there. Any idea of how much a Victor or Aeroplane costs there, and the place to get it? Thanks.
i highly recommend Mr. Keen also. they are a bit off the beaten track located in Aberdeen, however, the prices and customer service is very good. another good place i recommend is Luxis, very knowledgeable and friendly service. prices might be on the high side but you can try to bargain down might get a little bit leeway. Rose isn't the best with service as they are pretty "old style" HK store. they do have good prices, good selection and good location so that what you get.
I agree what kwun said. Kwun, you are very familiar with Hong Kong badminton stores though you seem to live far away from there.
When I went back in April, I got my raquet at Luxis. The salesman was really knowledgable and was very professional. Raquet was authentic and service was great. Highly recommended
