Happy! So far INA has 3 SFs, waiting for one more this afternoon. KOR, INA, MAS are on the same mission to let LYB down.

You know, S. Koreans have just changed the Chinese name of Seoul from 汉城 to 首尔 because they don't want their capital city's name has anything to do with China (汉 = Chinese) ... now you even rename their country to 漢國!

How sad that you can only hoping others to beat LD, if LCW is meant to win OG I would like to see him beating LD in the final.

Hi everyone. Just got back in (had soccer tonight). No upsets so it must have been a little boring. The only excitement seemed to have been He/Yu struggling to get past MATEUSIAK/KOSTIUCZYK . Sounded like a titanic encounter. Disappointed to see how tamely Sony went down to LCW and how easily CJ dispatched of Hsieh in the MS. Seems like CJ is sneaking under the radar :cool:

Maybe a better evening session for all of us. :)

OK...managed to catch most of the second set of Lee Chong Wei vs Sony Dwi Kuncoro match. Sony was simply outclassed and could only give resistance in the early stages. Once LCW was ahead 10-6, there was no turning back. The MAS player was in supreme form and I think he is probably the only player who can beat Lin Dan right now. But first, he has to beat either Lee Hyun Il or Bao Chunlai for a place in the Final.

In the XD, it was a routine victory for Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir over Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam. The Thai did trouble the INA pair for a while in the ending stage of the second set, but, it was not enough. The INA pair continues their march to the Gold Medal and will play He Hanbin/Yu Yang in the SF. He/Yu was as expected, given a tough ride by the Polish pair, who very nearly win the first set, wasting a couple of game pts. Nova/Butet should take care of He/Yu given that they have beaten the Chinese pair twice this year.

    I agree, badMania. I think Lily-Nova has a 55% chance of winning against He-Yu...

Nova/Butet has all the tools to take down He/Yu. If they can hold their nerves, we'll see them in the final.
