squash is not an olympic sport... if yes, then a gold medal good chance for malaysia that is from datuk nicol ann david
Go BRYAN NICKSON LOMAS!!! Saw his brave performance in 2004 in Athens then at the World Juniors! Definitely set to pull something off!
Ya, MAS lost to ITA 213 - 218. One of the archers shot a low 6 !! during th e 3rd end and there goes our medal chance. Let's hope they do well in the individual event!!
Watched the interview from the athletes and the coach in RTM, they said it's unlucky for them to meet Italy (2nd in world ranking) at quarter-finals.. no comment..
There goes the chance for medal in team archery. Now it's back to badminton & track cycling for medal chance. Btw, Italy went all the way to win Silver, behind South Korea only by 2 arrows in the Finals.
Yes, yes thats what they say about archery too. But look what happened? They got cold feet against the Italians and crumbled under pressure. Cycling? Honestly, our cycling is all hype. Taekwondo - decent but not good enough. Badminton - that 2 gold prediction thingy is looking kinda dicey, dude.
archery is more a competition against yourself. one of our archers had the jitters i guess and lost his concentration. italy showed a lot more mental strength. and our best chance in archery was the men's team event. for individual, there are others who are way better than our archers. but one managed a fifth place and who knows, he might surprise us with a medal.
Who can guarantee a definite win ? Even Leisel Jones failed in Athens when she was a clear favourite. But she worked at it and won gold finally this time. Don't talk about archery -- it was only hype on that one. But cycling, our two Keirin sprinters have done well in recent form. TaeKwonDo women are strong (ok not guaranteed but at least better chance than archery). Ah, badminton, think you are going bald on this. Please make sure you don't disappoint Nayuchi with a photo.
