i love wimbledon and the array of fashion statements made by the players. some goes classic, some goes daring, some just go plain boring but all of them look nice in all white. real contrast to the green of the grass. i will be rooting for nadal.
my guess, you are well known of Wimbledon for the dress code....... only white is permitted. even for shoes....
yes drifit, i know about the dress code. one more thing to like about it. traditions and fashion statements. hahhaha. it is really hard to stand out when everybody is wearing the same colour and thus it is entertaining to see the various styles.
This orthodox presentation approach goes for the live TV broadcasts too. While the French Open and US Open broadcasts are a showcase for the latest real-time digital video effects and graphics capabilities, Wimbledon allows only a minimum of special effects (mostly restricted to graceful dissolves, page-turns and wipes) and has an uncluttered (and rather severe) set of templates for the live, on-screen graphics. Of course, the stiff upper-lip extends to the commentary as well. Staid, composed, dignified, sedate, grave, sober, conservative - it's all of these. In other words, the commentators are quite the opposite of 'that guy'
http://www.wimbledon.org/en_GB/scores/schedule/index.html I believe yes. Federer-Hewitt match will start @ 1pm UK time (7pm Malaysian time) @ Centre Court followed by Nadal-Youzhny match @ Court 1 (might not show the full match since it's the 2nd match on Court 1).
I don't know who you are listening to but I'm listening to either Boris Becker or John McEnroe as co-commentators . Especially Mac is great to listen to BTW: get your matches @ www.t3nnis.tv (torr ents) I'm listed in the staff as one of the cappers but under a different name, guess who . Open registration at the moment... Couple of INA juniors scheduled to play but they haven't turned on the cameras when the juniors are on a tv court, otherwise could capture the stream.
