I just got a Kniessl badminton racket (yellow and orange) in its case, in excellent condition (excluding the grip, which i have replaced) for 99p... I have seen that they are mentioned somewhere in this list and i was wondering if they are a good racket and if it was a good buy. Let me know! Harry
I only consider it rare, because most people broke their racquet by now lol, there might still be inventories in Asian regions, but they might be charging a premium. I still have mine as a collector's item. I sold off my other stuff before i quit playing... kind of wishing i had not lol... I think i might still have an old aerotus 65 & 70 lying around at my sister's place... dont know i should ask. I won them on auction on ebay, as brand new... part of someone's estate sale, and i guess they were a collector of aerotus series items... this was way back in like 2003/2004 cant remember i won 3 of 4 auctions edit: all the Estca, Kawasaki, Yamaha, and the Prince b8200 would be really rare items now, i remember seeing a bunch of them when i was younger and travelling around on vacation... man i'm getting old
Does anybody think that in a good few years the demo version of the arcsaber 10 the black and white version will be worth a lot??
Nope, I think there are quite a lot out there and everyone already thinks it's a collectors item so doubt it will be worth more than it is now. Who knows it might even become the next colour version of the retail one .
are there a lot out there?? I thought because they were demo versions that the people using them had to hand them back after the trial had finished?? well im about to buy one i hope they become rare
Well I guess it's not the smartest thing to do to post the serial no. in a public forum then. G luck! I hope it will indeed be the next colour version (but don't think it will, not flashy enough for yonex. Not my racket type anyway )
My AR-80 My battle-weary prize winning 80 Only just cut the string today that had been on there forever (gut string). Started to make some noises I didn't like when cutting but no breakage in the end . Still have a (broken) Blacken as well, have to say they both still have a good feel .
Just did a search on Yonex racquets on ebay. There seems to be some vintage ones with very old style Yonex logo. For those who are interested, here is the link: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZhifi_surplus (looks like one of our BC members (Forrest?) is interested in the Yonex aluminum racquet )
Sorry for reviving an old thread, but is the original Blacken (not Blacken II) is considered rare and should be taken care of ?
Hi Cooler! I have noticed you had 3 WB30 and wonder if you knew how many lbs this racket could handle. Mine (2UG4) is 19 years old and I still use it regularly. Currently it has BG65 19lbs but I would like to have it restrung with BG85 23lbs (all my other rackets have this configuration) due to the lack of power. The only problem is that my stringer has never seen this racket and thought it was metal and worthless, maybe due to the countless of paint chips on it. He recommended 20lbs max. So before I risk my racket, your expertise would be much appreciated. Is age a factor?
For those interested, someone posted a craigslist listing for the Yonex BX-906 that they are willing to sell for CAD$399 (and no, it is not me )
