As i read on newspaper, the cost of 1 barrel of petroleum is only RM30.00. And the selling price is RM130.00 per barrel in the market! 1 tong they got profit of RM100.00!! wHERE the money go????
But we must compare apple with apple. Malaysia is a nett Petroleum exporter as such to compare retail pump prices with Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia is not the right basis. We should compare pump prices with other nett Petroleum exporters such as Brunei, Arab Saudi, Kuwait, Venezuela etc etc. As a nett exporter, with the current world oil prices touching USD$125/bbl, Petronas should be raking in the billions. Malaysia earns US$250million more each time the oil price increase by US$1/bbl. Last year, Petronas made RM70billion. Question is what happened to em' billions?? To sum things up, Malaysia is blessed with petroleum. But what did we do with the profits?? We dumped it all on mega projects like tallest flag pole, space flight participants, PKFTZ, bailouts of cronies, Proton, MAS, Petronas Twin Towers, Sepang, etc etc. Our oil is expected to run out in less than 10 years. So, whats next Malaysia Boleh?
It is said that if a frog is placed in boiling water, it will jump out, but if it is placed in cold water that is slowly heated, it will never jump out. .... thats Malaysia Boleh to you.
Got effect.... it's in the other thread & maybe some busy writing emails /letters to NST, The Star, Berita Harian, Utusan Msia, Sin CHew, Nanyang, etc where it'll be published publically.
Why are being mad with the recent petrol price hike? Guys, guys, guys, why are you all so mad & upset with the recent increase of our petrol price??? Why??? Ok now, guys think about this a little .... We should not get upset with the increase in the price of petrol. What we should get upset about is the fact that over 34 years since 1974, Malaysia has earned an estimated RM2 trillion in oil revenue. I say ‘estimated’ because that is the only basis we can use in figuring out what the actual amount is. Petronas’ accounts are not published and are not tabled before Parliament. According to the Petroleum Development Act 1974, Petronas need not make its accounts public. Petronas need not even report to anyone, not even to Parliament. Petronas reports to just one man, the Prime Minister of Malaysia. Petronas is way too important to the country. Now I ask you guys, should something so important be under the control of one guy, our PM where even the Parliament has no say over it? That is what we should be angry about. We should not be angry that the price of petrol has increased. Lets look at the bigger picture, my dear Malaysians.
