He can do that even outside Pelatnas.
Back to his former club, I can suggest.

Soooo, if Wong CH retires, MAS can only depend on Lee CW.
Man, you're still lucky, having an excellent MS.

How about us? Taufik is obviously not his former self anymore, while I don't think Sony and Simon are up to the task...
And our juniors still have a very long way there. This is very dangerous.

    Why WCH lost

    1. He is nervous. His movement looked pretty stiff from the very start. Also note that many of his clears are way out.

    2. More importantly, his stamina is only enough for one game.

WCH is not the one to be blamed, frankly he is not on the same level with Bao..I can't see there is any reason for him to win Bao..Our only hope come from 1st MS & both MD..I

There is no need for the request for Choong Hann to quit. It does not matter lose or win. We, as fans, should always support our players.

WCH was trying very hard to beat Bao , but the chinese is way too strong.. Bao was in excellent form. Can't blame WCH only on a single game

Enough is enough.... Malaysia lost as a team and please don't point fingers to blame Choong Hann or Hafiz. Is it our culture to treat a player like a trash when they cannot perform up to our expectation? Is it wrong for a player to pursue for his dream to be Olympic champion though people labeled his as "old and should retire"? Is it wrong for him to stay on in the team to guide the other juniors so that they could narrow their gap of standard? Is it how we appreciate a player who had played for the honor of his country with all his passion?

I don't know where the source of article come from but i denounce such a shallow comment.

Why are ppl so upset here? I'd never expect WCH to beat BCL, good if he can win it, or too bad if he doesn't cause BCL is the better player after all.

    Relax ppl.

    Agreed.
the word'...Please retire...'wasnt suppose to be said to this our great player.
He can play badminton at the age of 31,in a pressured match against world num.3,be in a big and historic tour as a captain.

He is a captain, not a key player. It was not the best from wch.But it isnt the worst.I know he'll do better. He will.

I think the biggest question facing the M'sian badminton team is who are going to take over. The bunch of players who have been under rashid (he, a coach?) for the last 4 years are not showing anything of substance. They are supposedly ready for the next TC (they are the Project 2010) but they cannot even take on ANY of the existing old guards -incl WCH & HH- on any consistent basis. 2010 is only 2 years away and I cannot see any of them will be even close to any of the 2nd/3rd MS player of the other badminton powers. Not to be blunt, I think these guys have just wasted their future under Rashid's guidance- he was a player and never a coach.

    Just my 2 sen rupiahs..

..(i'm going to write about something which some of you have harped on)..
I was talking with another M'sian baddy friend who also followed this Thomas & Uber Cup and he also had the same thought. He and I thought, amidst the questionable decision, the MAS' TC squad had fielded their "best" lineup. But although they fielded their "best" lineup, this time it failed, again, at least on the 2 Men's Singles. Thus, we both thought, if the last 2 MS players couldn't get it done, perhaps for the sake of the MAS' TC squad's future, the coaching staff needs to realize & move on to the younger players and hope on them rather than still relying on WCH and HH for the MS Singles. (In a way, it's kind of the same story for the PBSI side. Who to keep and who to be left out??)

As for the thread's title, i don't think WCH needs to retire, yet, just because he lost to BCL. Of course, both are playing at a different level.

Ohhh ... we will upgrade HH to play 2nd MS and coax Rashid Sidek out of retirement to fill the 3rd MS.
