Actually it was a greed by 2 teams anyway...the accident happened when there were 2 photographers were up there to take the pictures and it caused the light bulb fell...thats all I know..
ya.. agree with you... Thai's TC is not a free pass.. i predict the the match between china and thai will be very tight
It is not surprising at all. INA and MAS hate each other guts especially in badminton. I think lots of INA fans are still upset over a few disputes between two countries. It sorts of carried on to the TC/UC tourney. Unfortunate, but unavoidable.
rexy's factor is one of its reason... some people in indonesia still think rexy is a 'traitor'.. i remember when mia played in indonesia as a dutch player for the first time.. she got many booing ..
In Malaysia at least, that is not true anymore. From 88 - 92 when I was still an active cheerleader, we had battles with the INA cheerleading squad, but it was always done in good spirit from both sides. Last year at World Championships and a few weeks ago at the ABC, our cheerleading captain and INA's cheerleading captain in Malaysia even posed for pics together. But players really need to experience this booing, if they can manage it, they'll become much better players when the going gets tough.
I think the word "traitor" is too heavy and inappropriate. He is a professional serving his service to an employer, be it Msia or Nigeria. So, pls dun call him a "traitor" ya I can understand the "booing". Thats part of the business and it only makes the player stronger and mentally prepared for the hostile receptions.
True enough. One of the articles in the other thread blames INA fans for booing Malaysian players. Well, that is a given when you play in Istora Senayan. If players don't have enough mental toughness to stand the booing, they are going south pretty fast. Oh well, that is what makes Indonesia unique
OK, u better "buck up", Mr.Taufik... Beat BCL and Gade but lose to uncle WCH (just kidding)... Msia Boleh...!!!
100 % agree. Players must be able to face any challenges, internal (his/her opponent) and external (supporter). Misbun Sidek ever said few years ago ' You can not say you have good mental toughness if you never play in Istora Senayan'
also another reason...like current political and social issues between two countries; island/land in borderland, claim some folk arts, labour deportation...etc.. surely...mostly Ina people always keep our good relationship with malaysia...also in BC forum...yeah..enjoy the badminton game, support our shuttlers and sharing many things here....etc..
A great "training ground", is Istora Senayan. Yup, Misbun and his two brothers (Razif/Jalani) benefited from the "training", all of 'em were World Championship medallists at Istora in '80 and '89 ...... Training for newbie supporters too ..... so Louisa, Jimbo and the young gang, u r in for a "thrilling" experience.
Dont worry abang deng... I'll bring along strepsils just in case i got sorethroat after shouting "Msia Boleh..!!!"
yes,and then the tough gets going. LWW and CTF were a lil affected.....good thing they're fielded yeaterday...gonna manage it.
