    The stringer tries his best to avoid paying for damages so he makes excuses.
    They have obviously broken various racquets through "professional" stringing. I can tell you, they are NOT professional stringers. Otherwise they could string up to 30lbs with no problem rather than just 24lbs..

    He says that all SP are fakes, because he wants you to sign a form & so they don't have to pay if they break your racquet.

    lmao, 24lbs is professional? ==
    im a professional then!

    A very risky move. But hope your racquet comes back in one piece. =)

    You should go somewhere else to string. The guy obviously showed how much (or in this case, how little) he knows about badminton and badminton equipment. Your racquet is in danger!

    SP are all fakes. yes I own US coded.. and tension does not determine if the player is professional or not, I play with 30lbs, and I tell you I suck. Anyhow, if you play on a regular basis, your club members might have a stringer, and they should have more knowledge on stringing a badminton racquet. or in another case get your own, I got myself a used machine and modify the support so is good for badminton, and I am happy ever since.

    But remember usually stringing a racquet take 45 minute or more for new stringers, so make sure you are willing to spend the time. But the result is very rewarding, since you get to string your own racquet on the very spec you like it to be, and if you like you can tell yourself, ALL CD coded is fake also or tell yourself anyone who string @ 20lbs is professional and 24lbs is IRONMAN!!!!

    Note also that the machine they use at the sport experts (on st catherine's) is a 2 pt hybrid tennis/badminton/squash machine; which is he main reason why they won't string higher. There's a good chance that they actually WILL break your racket!

    ... and if you continue bringing it back to Sports Experts for restring in the future, remember to SPECIFY to have that same stringer do it for you (providing you considered he had done a good job for you). Otherwise, the day you don't say anything, they may give it to some new dude who thinks cranking them off for time records is da bomb ... then all you'll be picking up when you get there is a package of instant noodles.

    instant noodles....
    i have seen people go to 30 on a 2pt reliably...i guess it all depends on skill, and the quality of the 2 pt mount.

    Re: not knowing about Arcsabers;
    I would have just asked if he had an internet connection, and to go to the Yonex site.
    Re: OP
    I would have explained patiently in front of everyone listening that SP-"South Pacific", that it is a Yonex Distribution code, and then stated that he has no idea what he is talking about and left, with my racquets. Hopefully there would be an audience, because most people can pick the bull.

    firstly, of course all SP's are fake, every one knows that :p

    secondly, at $40/racket you mite as well learn and string yourself on a 2pt machine if youre only doing 24lbs....at that rate 1.5 rackets and its paid for itself! professional moron

    You can buy SP only in Singapore and over 90% of YY rackets sold in HK are SP. You can arrive this conclusion only if there is no SP coded YY rackets. Otherwise, how can one say a racket is fake just from the code only:confused::confused:

    Even I think we cannot say all CH rackets are fake.

    you may have signed that paper tat they are not responsible, yet wen they break your racket there are several things you can do (in belgian Law, which is prolly also in australia)

    These guys offer stringing service so when they exonerate themselves they actually undermine the consentement, which is illegal.
    Further on: if there are not much shops in the neighbourhood that offer stringing service you can tell you were intimidated by their condition to sign the paper in order to get your racket strung.

    anyway, this guy is laughing with it or what?
    al SP rackets are fake?:confused::D

    Just strung my Cab30MS at Sports Experts. BG65 @ 22lbs for $28 and it came with some extra paint chipped at 10-11 and 1-2 o'clock :/. I used to string at Lucien Laverdure but it is too far.

    Sports Experts are a bunch of bigot douchebags... they assume that any SP coded racket is fake. I just bought my Z-Slash from PuppySports.com and they're trying to tell me it's fake on my first restring with it. The stringer's like "This is a contraband racket! Please sign here in case there are any ...mishaps in during the stringing" Meanwhile, I'm answering sarcastic "Sure..."s and he's replying "Believe whatever you want buddy"... ****. It just pisses me off so much to deal with them... they won't believe anything I say... Any ideas? They're currently stringing it for tmr night.
