well any racquet that does not meet the requirements set in the rules would be "banned" it would not be allowed to be used. so its quite possible that there are some out there but i would suspect that 99% of racquets would fall into the requirements set. Do you have any pics of this "banned" racquet?

that works good enough, i dont see why that racquet would be banned from tournaments your friend might be wrongabout it like unless its to long or the head isnt within the allowed dimensions but i highly doubt that. Im pretty sure its a regulation racquet maby your friend was mistaken about it.

If it was a stock racket, rite from the factory, without any modifications made to add/decrease its weights,i guess it will never be banned..

As far as I know, only rackets with "bankai" features are banned from tournaments.

maximum length allowed for rackets should be 680mm.

Without any modifications, this racket should not be banned, as HL has been in badminton business for long enough to know that, especially this is considered as one of their top line models.

If this racket is 1cm longer than some regular length Yonex models (665mm), then, it's still safe as it's 675mm lenght is well under 680mm requirement.

Can you ask your friend why he/she said it is banned? I am really curious what caused him/her to say that.
