I have a question which might be best answered in this thread.

    1. what was Lee Chongwei drinking after the 2nd set in his match against Taufik at the Japanese Open? It looked like some serious energy gel thing. (yeah it's a geeky question but being a serious LCW fan I noticed this cos he usually drinks from a dark blue bottle.....)
    2. what are the rules on what liquids you are allowed to drink between sets? are there any rules?
    3. is there any drug testing beforehand at tournaments?

    Hmmm that's 3 questions. Whoops.

    Watch What You Drink

Pepsi Co (who own Quaker Oats Co, which makes Gatorade) is gonna be awesomely happy with this 'boost'

Ironically, Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) could do a finer job when it comes to re-energizing people. And they're subsidized to the point of being nearly free. :D

For those who plan on aping their favourite stars' drink preferences, it might be a good idea to read this article:
    http://www.webmd.com/news/20060309/gatorade-tough-on-teeth

    Here's an extract:
'On the enamel, Gatorade was significantly more corrosive than Red Bull and Coke. Red Bull and Coke, in turn, were significantly more corrosive than Diet Coke and apple juice.'

Maybe you should ask LD's dentist how it's going. :D

HAHA... Gatorade. Why they choose to drink it instead of any other energy drinks? Is it better or more "energy-boosting" than the others, seeing itz more corrosive. :D

I saw LYD drinking 100plus!! In this year's WC. LMAO!

The answer for no. 1 is Oxygen Water..quite famous in Malaysia..if I'm not feeling well (flu, runny nose) I will drink a bottle or two. It will rejuvenate me. If I'm not mistaken LCW is the ambassador for the drink. Taste just like mineral water. Sorry, don't know the answer for no 2 and 3

nothing. It was just that since we were on the subject of ingested substances, I wondered about drugtesting.

    Bloody Strategy

Each time LD drinks it, the losers suffer more blood loss... thereby lessening their oxygen carrying capacities... thereby reducing their stamina... thereby increasing his winning chances :p

Didn't you see how pale Taufik looked at the French Open? :D
