Yes, I agree with all u guys and I'm quite dissapointed with Starhub. Being a small fry, there's nothing I can do but to terminate my subscribtion (Did that).

I have a question here: Starhub Cable service is a paid service, why do they need sponsorships/ads to FUND the the sports rights and air for viewers? Perhaps all the FUNDS go into EPL and F1 and golf???:mad:

Draft letter to Starhub to be sent to Straits Times

Ok, as promised here is the draft. Let's see if you guys have anything else to add. I am happy to send this just using my name alone, but if anyone else want to chip in you may need to send me your full name by PM so that I could add to the end of the letter (press only accept real names). It would only be meaningful to send it as a group if there are about 20 names, otherwise I just change all the "we" to "I" and send it out using my name alone.

Linus, it's terrific piece. Pls hold on until end of the week so I can get my badminton kakis names to add in so we have more names. The more names we have, the more weight the letter will carry and get published. So those in Spore , pls pm Linus with your list of names(including your badminton buddies). Thanks for helping.

Linus, very well written. Pls include in your list. I will PM you my full name.
Let's hope that StarHub's management and their sports channel producer will understand what is badminton after reading the letter.

Sealman, I got almost similar reply from StarHub yesterday.

"Thank you for your email on 16 September 2007.

We apologise for the delay in our response.

We would like to inform you that SuperSports (Ch 22) is providing
coverage to the BWF Super Series 2007 - Japan Open in October in the
form of taped telecasts. Please be assured that we will continue to
be mindful of the interests of Badminton fans, and we will share your
feedback for a more comprehensive and LIVE coverage of badminton
events with our relevant departments and channel owners.

Here are the telecast schedules for your convenience -

Monday 15 Oct, 2pm - mixed doubles finals
Monday 15 Oct, 3pm - women doubles finals
Monday 15 Oct, 4pm - mens doubles finals
Tuesday 16 Oct, 8pm - mens singles finals
Monday 15 Oct, 9pm - womens singles finals

*telecast schedules are subject to changes

We would like to share with you that the overall costs for telecast
rights of virtually all sports programmes have been increasing
tremendously in recent years. In order to ensure the quality of the
sports coverage offered in our Sports Group, we have no choice but to
implement an upward rate adjustment for the Sports Group.

Please also look out for delayed coverage of these BWF Super Series
events upcoming on SuperSports/SuperSports Plus. The telecast
schedules are yet to be confirmed. BWF Super Series Grand Final
final day will be telecast LIVE on SuperSports/SuperSports Plus in
    December.

    Hong Kong Open
    Grand Final

Well, we shall still write to the press as what Linus has drafted.

To StarHub sports means EPL, Tennis, Golf, F1 formula race, Ruby.... As long as they didn't improve on the live coverage of badminton. We shall continue to write in....

I just realized that Starhub will have 2 DEDICATED channels for Cricket from now on. They charge you a premium of $32, but at least its available if you are willing to pay.

It shows that Starhub is not being ignorant, just unwilling.

Not that i'm complaining, i watch more cricket than badminton.
