both side played very well. how can you fault a 22-20 / 28-26 scoreline. it could've turned either way.

what is true is that this match didn't disappoint any of us and live up to everyone's expectation in terms of excitement.

Well said...the quality of the matches we saw today are superb.
First we have the 2 great XD matches which similarly could go the other way round. Then, we saw Wang Chen demolishing the distraught-looking Zhang Ning. The match between Sony Dwi Kuncoro and Chen Yu was albeit slightly less interesting, but, I am glad that Sony took it. The coup de grace was that explosive MD match between Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan and Choong Tan Fook/Lee Wan Wah which leave everyone breathless

Well, INA the badminton powerhouse is back! [somewhat back] Next to China who has 5 finalist in 4 categories, INA has 3 finalist in 3 categories....

    INA victorious!

I also like to say that "winning or loosing is not important"... usually when I just lost... :p

For the time being, I am just happy! Not overconfident, just overhappy...

Kido-Setiawan showed a lot of spirit even though CTF-LWW held gamepoint after gamepoint after gamepoint in the second game... ;) They MAS pair was tough, but apparently, Kido-Hendra is even tougher under pressure today... Thank you to all the other fans that supported Kido-Hendra!

    CTF-LWW No Lost Pride

They may be the oldest in the MAS team. They may be the underdog in the BWC but again they defied the odds go all out to win a bronze for MAS. No no...This is not just lucky or surprise, surprise. This is indeed the DETERMINATION,COMMITMENT&DESIRE to win in the matches. This is the fighting spirit we the supporters want to see from other players. Never mind they lost.Their NEVER-SAY-DIE attitude have won my heart!.

The level of MD among different elite teams is very close so on any given day, they can beat one another.

Actually, I think the last time they met, I thought Hendra/Markis were good enough to beat Cai/Fu. Unfortunately they lost concentration with several service faults. But the tactics were spot on. Kudos for INA MD coaching staff esp Chief Coach Christian Hadinata, shows that they don't really need Rexy to bring up the standards.

CTF/LWW has done pretty well too, despite not reaching the final. One thing I noticed is that they have much less power in their smashes than say, during the S'pore Open. Had to play a bit more intelligently to win.

Other veteran pairs (Lundgaard/Eriksen and Tony/Candra) couldn't even compete. Both were knocked out pretty bad.

I think all the young pairs have somehow changed their tactics, depending on who they play. Previously, they rely blindly on attacks, ie: Fu/Cai, Kido/Hendra, JJS/LYD and KKK/TBH. This tactic will work well against older pairs like Tony/Candra, Eriksen/Hansen and to a certain extent CTF/LWW.

However, it won't work if these young pairs were to take on each other. That's why they bring in the intelligent play too, with more netting observed from the Final match between Kido/Hendra and JJS/LYD and less smash winners (13 vs 20++ in the match against Tony/Candra).
