I plan to watch the finals on TV with a bunch of my buddies from highschool... who are badminton fans... Cannot go to KL because I have weekly [Sunday] badminton sessions starting 4pm...
I will cheer for Indonesians, having said that the best chance is in XD (provided Nova Widianto can play well the whole match). JJS/LYD look too strong for Kido/Setiawan, in fact I am sure had Koo/Tan played them, the Koreans would still win. Sony has run a fairy-tale performance, so I'm hoping he will do something to make LD think and work hard ..... Oh, and would love to have Wang Chen and YW/ZJW win the WS and WD respectively.

I am a little worried about GL. She played too many games. The XD final turns out to be the most exciting one today.
hm.... this one... very difficult. which one should it be.... MS: Lin Dan vs. Sony Dwi Kuncoro : i think LD will have the edge there. Sony isn't exactly very sharp against CY yesterday. WS: Wang Chen vs. Zhu Lin : WC's performance yesterday was spectacular. if she can maintain her form, Zhu Lin won't be a match. MD: Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan vs Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae : the key of the INA pair is Kido. WD: Yang Wei / Zhang Jiewen vs. Gao Ling / Huang Sui : oh this one is tough. both ZJW and HS have had a tough year. HS has a sick father at home and ZJW almost retired. technically, both sides are similar and difficult to pick one over another. i will have to abstain on this one. XD: Zheng Bo / Gao Ling vs. Nova Widianto / Lilyana Natsir : under normal circumstances, i would pick ZB/GL for their superior attack and net play. but their performance yesterday was less than inspiring. both seems very slow. i haven't seen Nova/Lilyana this WC yet. i will pick the Chinese.

malaysia has no representatives in the finals... but still, we have to show that we are still badminton supporters and show that malaysia is good as hosting badminton events like Thomas Cup (I think they are campaigning for hosting the finals 2010)... GO GO MALAYSIA!
