well well, you lucky boys and girls in the UK, for once they'll be showing badminton on the BBC, can you believe it? apparently BBCi will be covering the semis and finals from 7am to 2pm tomorrow and on sunday. i don't know if the other sports like the moto gp will overlap it or whether we'll have a choice, but beggars can't be choosers. so, here's a request, anyone with sky + or some kinda hard disk or dvd recorder, can you please record the broadcast and, most importantly, share it with the rest of us here? finally, i feel that paying the tv licence is worthwhile for once.
i'm now worried that the BBC may cancel it now the english team has lost their interest in the championships (well, this is assuming emms/kellogg too, crash out in the ladies QF)

BBC Terrestial Coverage Just watched the BBC1 1hr10mins of coverage. Could I expect to see a balanced highlights review of the recently finished semi-finals? Obviously, I was too naive. What we got was no semi-finals news but a rehash of all the British pairs losing in the quarter-finals. This is such depressing narrow-minded parochial programming. Why is it so hard for them to think that an audience might appreciate seeing who is actually the current best at badminton even if that happens not to be British. There is another 1hr30mins tomorrow. So I suppose at least then they will have to show whats actually just happened for once.
I watched and recorded BBC's 1pm badminton coverage today which was highlights only (they started at the middle of each set so you got to watch about 1/2 the game), the Kellogg/Emms v Gao/Huang was really good... until Kellogg got a red card in 3rd set at 16-16 and the British pair were so demoralised they lost soon after. Looking forward to the 7am finals live coverage.
