i went to look at shops in melbourne. AS-10 are $40 a tube...what a sad place we live in :crying: However i use AS-40 brought overseas :D The mavis 500 plastic shuttles are also very good, they fly pretty close to feathers, or infact better than cheap feathers. After half an hour of intense practice with my friend it was still in perfect condition, even the cork wasn't dented at all.

Rebel Sports sells the AS10s for 40/tube but Super A mart sells em for 30/tube...its cheaper to order better ones online...

Casual players can buy shuttlecocks from retail stores, but badminton clubs should buy directly from wholesalers. AS10s is the lowest grade of shuttlecock Yonex purchases from a manufacturer in China. One shuttle cannot last for one game. It is not worthwhile to buy a tube of lowest grade of shuttles at $40. If you play regularly, you should buy better shuttles from wholesaler.

Two of Melbourne biggest badmintion associations, Mountain District Badminton Association (MDBA) and Central Badminton Association are using Aeroplane black label's shuttles which only cost them $22/tube. MDBA uses about 100 tubes per month. Visit www.calibreaustralia.com.

"Arrow" shuttle by Yonex Australia not genuine Yonex's.

Just want to warn badminton players in Australia.

Recently, there is a new brand of shuttlecocks named "ARROW" supplied by Yonex Australia Pty Ltd in Australia market. Many people think that it is a Yonex Japan's product by mistake.

Our club has tried "Arrow" shuttles. The quality is not good.

Thanks for your suggestion. However, as a wholesaler rather than retailer, we need to keep our prices low in order to sell to most of our Aeroplane shuttlecocks to many big badminton clubs/associations. Some of our club customers may add $2 - $5 a dozen to sell to their individual members. It is smart to buy from a wholesaler instead of retail store.:D:D:D

I've just tried Aeroplane black and I must say I'm completely satisfied. Excellent flight and durability and for the price you pay, it is worth it. Bye bye aeroplane green :D And to phandrew, Aussie only imports AS10 and AS20 though I do not know what the reasons are.

    considering AS-10 is $40 here, i'm guessing they don't import 30, 40, 50, cos they'll be like $100/tube lol

We used to use Trump shuttles, crap. Then Yipu shuttles, even more crap.
Then we use aeroplane green and red now. Green is average but red is pretty good. It last quite well but players have complained that its too fast.
Well, we players just got to be faster then....lol
dont ask me about the price cause the club never bother to disclose. I think they just buy whatever is within their budget.

Your club probably use speed 51 which is faster than speed 50. You should ask your organiser to change the shuttle speed to 50 which is slower.

We just started a new club in Darwin and I'm trying a mix of RSL shuttles and Victor Shuttles which I ordered up from Melbourne (Kobeng Na). I think I'll eventually settle on RSL Tourney No1 for the better players and Victor Classics for the beginners. Beginners tend to side hit the shuttles a lot which destroys shuttles quickly so at $12 a tube bulk order the Victors will do. The RSL Tourny shuttles are however much nicer. Now I just need to sort out the speed issue. We are playing in Air Conditioning and 79 speed feels a bit slow s I guess I need to go to 80. I found that lightly spraying the inside of the tubes makes the shuttles last longer!
