IMO..Korea vs INA can be 2-3 or 3-2...I think INA has edge since WS INA is improving as long as Maria is playing not firdasari and INA WD can be tough also...it can be either way...no matter who wins...it will be in 3-2

    Level 1A : CHN (winner) & MAS (runner-up)
    Level 1B : INA (winner) & KOR/DEN (runner-up)

INA will push hard effort to win group 1B, avoid CHN in semi. INA has 2 advantage points from MS and XD, still open chance from MD and WD to complete it. Seems KOR is the stiffest test for INA in group preliminary because KOR will become extraordinary power in team competition, INA must be underscored their fighting-spirit.

    Assumption of order-to-play : XD-MS-WS-MD-WD

    Semifinal 1 : CHN vs KOR/DEN, clear result -- 3-0 for CHN

Semifinal 2 : INA vs MAS, love this match!
    XD -- INA vs MAS : 1-0
    MS -- INA vs MAS : 2-0
    WS -- INA vs MAS : 2-1
    MD -- INA vs MAS : 2-2
WD -- INA vs MAS : the decider
Endscore 3-2 for INA or MAS. On paper both teams have balance squad, need high determination and mental strength to enter last round.

Dream Finale : CHN meets INA at neutral place, hmm maybe INA needs Fortune Goddess here to bring back Sudirman to its homeland, positively CHN is only need 1 point from XD/MS/MD. If CHN win XD as opening match, 100% the Sudirman will stay 2 years again in Beijing. MS and MD are best opportunities for INA to drag CHN until last match decider (WD) will be played.

Other Final Scenario : CHN against MAS, I guess CHN has an easier way to face MAS than INA in final. It's possible CHN will book 3-0 directly win over MAS through XD,MS and WS unless LCW shows boombastic spirit to frustrate LD.

MAS - INA tie (2-2) last point depends on Taufik and Lee Chong Wei

MAS - CHN tie (4-1) only Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong have a realistic chance to win... Lee Chong Wei has a chance as well but its hard to say.. he has to be on his very very top form... :D

I do not agree to the statement that FHF/CY will loss to any of the Malaysian pair in the surdirman cup. They only having 1 limitation is FHF net play, if he can improve in his net skills, I think they afraid nobody.

My personal opinion, if China were to meet the Malaysian team, China might win all.

I can imagine your expression, so funny. Unless the Chinese pairs are having an awlful day, have to agree that M'sians have a remote chance. But I hope it's not like the TC tape that I watched last week. Y Yang played Misbun & I decided to brush my teeth at the onset of the game. By the time I came back, Y Yang won 15-2!!!

I think from the past records, Boonsak vs LCW is about 0:8 or something, so, it is still favor to LCW to play Boonsak and I think LCW stand a higher chance than Boonsak in this match.

For critical match such as semifinal or final game, I think Malaysia may not field Tan Wee Kiong/ Woon Khe Wei as their XD. Malaysia XD could be 2006 World Championship semifinalist KKK/WPT against the Indonesian. Or at least, for a safer bet, Malaysia may field Wong CH/ WPT ( It was always this pair in the past Sudirman Cup and Commonwealth Games Team events).

I had to say, if Malaysia wanted to be runner up, they cannot play TWK/WKH against England or Thai MX.

Cause if they play TWK/WKH against Nathan/Gail or Thai mix, Malaysia surely will give one point to their opponents.

But If they play KKK/WPT or WCH/WPT to gain points, that mean KKK and WPT will play twice every day with only 10 players in their teams.

So if Mas teams can reach final, will KKK and WPT still had enough gas left to play China?

Meanwhile China can rotate all their players all they wanted specially in WS and WD.

Is Nathan definitely playing? :confused:There was a preparation tourny yesterday and he didn't play in it because of an injury. Not sure if losing him would affect England's results because they have Clark and Kellogg as well....we'll have to wait and see!

My prediction for MAS is, MAS-Eng -- 3 - 2 ( Eng has home ground advantages) MAS - Thai -- 3 - 2 ( XD and probably MS will lost) as for MAS -- CHN ( 1-4 ) ( MAS to win in MD ) if MAS play in SF,...Vs INA(most probably) 3 -- 2 (either way) ........if MAS can enter SF...considered great achivement already...for the first timer to play in group level 1...dont play -play.........

Suggest you watch the match, look at the score and the clock & then you will know the teeth issue is secondary.

    China against the rest

Obviously, China has no problems reaching the final.

    These are the possible scorelines:
    CHN-XXX 3-0 (XXX=MAS, INA, DEN, KOR)
    XD 1-0
    MS 1-0
    WS 1-0
    CHN-XXX 3-1 (XXX=MAS, INA, DEN)
    XD 1-0
    MS 0-1
    WS 1-0
    MD 1-0
    CHN-XXX 3-2 (XXX=MAS, INA, DEN)
    XD 1-0
    MS 0-1
    WS 1-0
    MD 0-1
    WD 1-0
    CHN-XXX 2-3 (XXX=MAS, INA)
    XD 0-1
    MS 0-1
    WS 1-0
    MD 0-1
    WD 1-0

    Conclusion:
    (1) CHN almost got 2 points from WS & WD and it just needs another point from XD, MS & MD to seal the victory.
    (2) The opponents can only steal points from MS, MD & XD.
    (3) MAS & INA (with stronger MS & MD) are the only teams who can beat China (3-2).
    (4) If the order of play is XD-MS-WS-MD-WD, then CHN can beat anyone 3-0.

U don't even know the line-up for WD and WS for INA, how can u come with the 40-60 & 60-40?

IMO, INA will only have better chances in XD & MS.

Whatever it is, MAS will beat INA at least 3-2.

Yup, I think WCH/WKW instead of KKK/WPT will be playing XD in SF or F.
TWK/WKW are most likely playing XD during early rounds for experience exposure.
