    1. 1600 - square roots.

    2. 2 in 2 minutes= 1 does a page in 4 minutes= in 2 minutes 1 will do half a page, so in 6 minutes 1 person will type 1.5 pages.
    so if 1.5 pages take 1 person 6 minutes to type,
    then it will take it would take 12 people do type 18 pages.
    ANS= D) 12

    3. C= 9 o clock

    4.c) A man is known by the company he keeps

    5.D) 10

    6.D) 20

    7.10. This took absolutly ages . thought it had somethign do do with length. each sylable is worth 5 . wierd one. my head hurts.

    8.a-7, b-8, C+D =5 so when D,D,C,B=16 its D,(5) 8=16 so d= 3
    therefore AABD=7+7+8+3= 25
    so ans = b)25

    9.pythagoras says its c) 10

    10.c) 8. i presume.

    c) 6

    p=pages
    t=typists
    m=minutes

    2 pages divided between 2 typists takes 2 minutes
    so the equation should look like
    2p/2t = 2m

    if you increase Pages then Minutes should increase
    if you increase Typists then Minutes should decrease

    so:
    p/t = 2m
    multiply by 18 to get the right number of pages
    18p/t = 36m
    now to get minutes right we divide by 6
    18p/6t = 6m

    so 6 typists

    2 typists type 2 pages in 2 minutes. That means each of them type 1 page (not half) in 2 minutes. With a total of 6 minutes, each typist can type 3 pages. It takes 6 typists to type 18 pages in 6 minutes:)

    This question is not a very good one. One can answer 1600 based on "square" or 1800 based on the fact that the sum of all digits equals to 9.

    I get 19.

    (1) All questions must be answered in 5 min instead of 10. Speed and accuracy are required.

    (2) For Question 1, 1800 should be substitued by 2100. My apology. The answer is 1600 - perfect square.
