Sorry if this has been stated/discussed before, couldn't find with the search function at least.

As I was ordering a few Yonex Nanospeed 9000 Type S rackets, I received this message from both stores I was trying to order the rackets from:

    quoted, Badmintonstore.dk
"No, its not possible to get Yonex Nanospeed 9000 Type S longer, Yonex did only have Type X."

    quoted, Nordsportshop.de
"we have got very bad news: as we have tried to order the rackets from Yonex we have been told that the S-Type is no longer available and will not come back."

This is the reply I received after asking the reason why the Type S was no longer available:

    quoted, Nordsportshop.de
"Type S has only been a special model for a limited time and has now expired."

Having heard this, I guess I will be looking to the Type X now.

Anyone else heard about this? Or more importantly, anyone heard the reason why Yonex doesn't provide the stores with Type S anymore? I don't think it's due to a design defect anyway, that's not kinda likely as they still have Type X models.

coz i think because the racket is headlight thus the flex is not really significant... but only for me ( i am quite weak ) :D juz giving a reasonable explanation

Well significant enough to make a majority of the pros who use NS 9000 use the Type S instead of its stiffer counterpart.

popularity is not the only ingredient needed to keep a racket on the go

just a few month back half of the pros in doubles were using AT800s

so maybe the NS9900 or NS10000 is coming out next year!!!!!!

I just found out last night that Cab30ms is not available in Toronto Canada. Also, there is only few stores in Taiwan allow to sell NS9000-x. I am not suprised about that news.

Don't ask me why, ask YY. Anyway, Cab30ms is not availble in Taiwan also. Just like you can still buy new Cab20 origional in HK, you can not get one here in US.

So it's true that the Type S is no longer officially available anymore? Which means I'm going to need to buy myself another 3 racquets of a different line when I'm in Japan in September...

Yonex chooses a distributor for a country or region. If the distributor decide not to sell different product, the customers have no choice but to buy it in other region of countries. Like in Belgium and The Netherlands there is one distributor who sell Yonex products with a very high prices. In Germany there is an other distributor with lower prices. But shops in Belgium and The Netherlands are sticked with the expensive distibutor. The shops cannot sell Yonex products anymore if Yonex find out that they buy it in Germany.

That's also why customers often receive answers that products isn't available anymore.

it had been said before that NS9kS isnt available in UK. Maybe this extends to other european countries as well.

this is a area distributor decision, not yonex japan.
